If you decide to cut your hair, then do it. He can offer his opinion on how he likes your hair, and you may want to please him by keeping it longer. That choice is yours. However, if you want to cut it, do so! Does he know you only mean an inch or two? He is away at base and maybe thinking you want a super short Sharon Stone type style? If he only wants to be with you because of your hair or he is that controlling you will have bigger troubles down the road.
P.S. why did you even ask him in the first place? I do not ask my husband permission to do anything with my hair. And he does not ask me. Opinion maybe, permission, never!

My man told me the same thing. I did it anyway. Just to see what he would say. He didn't even notice.
But if you're really worried. What you to do is, the next time you see him, wear your hair in a totally different style than you usually do. This will distract him from paying close attention to the length. So if you normally wear your hair straight, get curls or vice/versa. If he still ask.
"Did you cut your hair?"
Do not admit anything. Just pat your head and say.
"Does it look like I cut it?
Smile and leave it that. Trust me he won't push the issue. Even if he has doubts he won't confront you, because he can't prove you cut off an inch. Men hate having arguments they know they can't win.
It's your hair. Do you! if you boyfiend ever tells you yo can't cust you hair again. You let him know that your HAIR does make you look sexy. It's YOU that make your hair sexy. Sexy is you the hair is just there.

This amount being cut is merely a trim. You probably need it for the health of your hair. So go ahead & do it. And keep quiet. Not that I believe you a should be deceitful; but if he thinks you're sexy with shorter hair, telling him you cut your hair, he'll only imagine how you look and all the men that are making eyes at you. Why put him through that. But personally, I think you fella's a bit insecure.

What? U can't cut ur hair cuz it makes u look sexy? U have every right to look sexy. He must be really insecure because he probably doesn't want other guys 2 b attracted to you. U have the right 2 do whatever u wish w/ ur hair regardless of ur boyfriend's feelings. Maybe u should tell him that it's ur choice and reassure him that ur relationship is truthful and that ur not going 2 be w/ other guys while he's away.

well I know most guys like long hair but you need to come to a compromise thats what my boyfriend and I had to do. Just today I only got an inch and a half cut off but that was enough.

He just loves how you look now, but he'll love how you look even after you cut it anyway. It's so funny how when guys are so happy with one thing they are very reluctant for change, but then when the change comes about they are just totally ecstatic... especially when it comes to looks... though this does not mean do anything DRASTIC like going bald... but one inch shouldn't hurt. Even a new haircut which is flattering to you would probably turn him on in the end and he'd be happy. But seriously, one inch he'll never notice or know the difference and you should do it just to keep your hair healthy... he'll like it in the end anyway if it looks healthier and shinier.

Sure you want to look sexy for your fellow, but you don't want him dictating things like your style and grooming. You know best what suits you. If it doesn't suit him, then maybe he needs a Barbie Doll and not a living girlfriend.
I'd say, get the trim & get a sexy photo taken to send him, write on the back of it, "See how sexy my new haircut looks!" Hopefully he will agree and it won't be a relationship breaker. Do keep an eye on his need to control you.

Honestly he's not going to notice an inch. I had 2 inchs taken off my hair and my boyfriend who I see everyday didn't notice and I didn't tell him I got it cut. Guys like long hair though. They think its sexy.

should i just do it cuz he won't know its gone?
THERE ARE SOOO MANY THINGS WRONG WITH THAT SENTENCE!
First is "cuz he won't know . . ." So the hell what if he does? Is he that much of a control freak? Trust me, if he is over just ONE INCH of hair, what will happen when you come home 2 hours late because you had a flat tire, but he doesn't believe you?
RUN, don't walk to the NEXT boyfriend in line!!!

Tell him you either cut an inch off your hair or off his dick. See how he feels about your hair then!
Seriously, it's your hair and if he's going to act like an a$$hole about it, watch out cuz it might not be the only thing he's ever gonna act possessive about. Be careful! And cut them dead ends.
