Then again, does anyone truly know the definition and meaning of love? Is love infatuation after all? Thanks for posting your question. Now I know what I don't know. Have a great day.

I'm 53 & I have never told anyone that they are too young to be in love. I have told them that there is a BIG difference between infatuation & love! Some people must feel the pain of their "love" on order to learn that it is actually infatuation. Many older adults have a lifelong addiction to the cycle of what they call love that involves falling IN & OUT of love with everyone they come into contact with. These people just cannot say NO & they seem to be quite good at finding one another. Most of the time it is a SEX thing that people only call love. Real trusting love lasts a lifetime & does not require sex. Many married people are in love with someone else & never tell anyone about this until they are dying!

Love is nothing but a prolonged infatuation. It continues for a life time and may be even after that. When younger people talk about love, we generally tend to say that "You are just a kid, you don't know what love is." because may be in the past we were in love, something went wrong and we moved on, eventually it faded away and we thought it was infatuation. Our problem is that we think only that thing, that stays forever is love, everything else is infatuation. I beg to differ.

Love differs according to perspective. When i was 16 i was told i was too young to know what love is. The person telling me was right in a way, but wrong in another. Now that i'm in my late 30's and have lived love in many ways, i understand what he meant. love, real love is developed overtime. not the "puppy love" of a teen. Still that love is so clean, uncomplicated and limitless. The tests of time will prove if it is to be true love. Sex should never factor in the equation at such a young age. Teen love is more a way to establish yourself... And yes adults act like school kids when in love. who knows!
