Yeah, complete with charts, diagrams and the specific genus and species name for each animal viewed...impress upon the dog the importance of paying strict attention because he WILL be tested on this material later that evening. Encourage the lead cat to take notes, and designate one kitty to be responsible for packing a bag lunch full of kibble for everyone. Should be quite an outing. Enjoy.

Cats & dogs is something very common 2 every family. That doesn't attracts the kids so much.
What they want is 2 satisfy their curiosity heart, so just take a day off, drive them 2 the zoo!
2 the kids, in the animals kingdom, they r very surprise 2 find out that apart from dogs & cats that u've at home, there r many many more different & beautiful animals!
Let them have a little knowledge, with a starting at least, from here, what are all these animals named, & how they look like.
What they want & learn from inside the house is not enough, so just give the kids a beautiful & enjoyable trip 2 the zoo!
Have a nice journey.......

Well SSiren, here ya go, take your kids to either the San Diego wild animal park or to Sea World, because both of these places have kennels for dogs, if you feel you have to take them.
Otherwise, get a friend to pet sit for you if you're worried, and as far as just lining up your animals, your kids would probably appreciate the pun of your zoo style home, but there is no other experience like going to see wild animals when you are a kid. It'll live on in their memories for the rest of their lives, I promise.
Memories with your kids are priceless, and cannot be replaced by anything else.
Have a good time.

Good luck lining them up. You'd be to the zoo and back by the time that happened. Take the little ones to the zoo and other places, too, Mom!

The zoo is completely different from showing your kids domestic animals, its a completely new experience. I would definitely take them to the zoo.

Didn't you tell them that they live in a zoo, lol. Give them some chores to do and tell them if they behave you will reward them by taking them to the zoo. And then stick to it. Maybe they are bored after the long, hot summer.

Do you take your kids anywhere? Or is going out with them to much trouble? You should take the kids to the damn zoo and try to pretend you're happy while you're there so you don't ruin their time.
