How do I tell this guy that i really like maybe even love that I love him? I am so afraid of being hurt that I just can't find the courage to do so. Please give me some words of advise!!!!!

As a guy, I would like that a female would let me know how she feels when she is around me. I would usually give them a feedback about the topic. Depending on his feedback regarding the conversation, you will be able to decide on telling him or not.

Hmmm, what/hoe does he feel about you? Are you guys dating? Dating seriously or just fooling around? Are you guys friends? In what context did you fall in love with him???
If there is nothing going on between you, then it will be wise to keep your feelings to yourself.
If you guys have been dating (and specially if you guys have been intimate already for quite some time), you have the right to know where the relationship is going. Ask him where is the relationship going.
If he says he doesn't know or just want to have fun or take it slow, you have your answer. He doesn't feel the same way. Time to bail out.
If he replies positively, wait a bit more and see if he means it. Then tell him.
If you guys are just fooling around, if you don't have a relationship, sorry to say, you were a fool and you shot yourself in your own foot. Sorry no easy way to get out of that one :(

Write him a letter. If you have these feelings, and you don't get them out in the open, they will continue to eat away at you and drive you crazy, because you won't know where things could go from here. You may end up regretting it if you don't! Put a lot of thought into what you write, deliver the letter and cross your fingers. Chances are, the feeling is mutual, and the letter may break the ice and allow you to move to the next step. Good luck!

To start off you must take steps before going the extra yards. Maybe become friends to start off then a couple and after some time you'll learn more about him. Then if you're sure about how you feel then you can tell him.

That is a very sensitive topic. Do you feel he is attached to you as well? Telling someone you love them can either bring them closer or push them away. So be very sure that when you put those words out there that you are prepared either way.
I myself would rather not take the chance. (rather not know)

Try to get him to a quiet setting where you can tell him. Some good places are by rivers, in quiet places in woodsy parks, on balconies, and after a good meal. Play some of his favourite music. You will sense in your heart when the time is right. Watch his eyes.
