I found an egg on a rock when I went up to Lake Las Vegas with my folks this past Sunday. It looked like a bird's egg(probably from a duck). I was tempted to sneak it home but my older sister made me leave it(I didn't touch it ether and there weren't any birds around ether). I felt guilty about leaving it on that rock.but I told myself the next time I found a bird's egg I probably won't leave it where I found it.
You think I should I leave the egg if I ever find another one like I did this past Sunday?
No jokes or wise cracks please.
The only reason why I would take it home would only because I wouldn't want any possible harm to come to it.

Leave it where you found. is my opinion. the parents may have abondoned the nest with some unknown reason or just gone for food gathering . either way human should do nothing to leave it to nature's invisible hand .or the parents could detect human smell and even give up hatchin itself sensing disturbances. I thought I helped a chick on the pavement some 2 months ago, & brought back home .it seemed eating from my finger, I loved it, but it failed in just 2 days . The instant it strayed from its parents it doomed . very sorry

Even if you managed to hatch it, there's almost no chance of the young bird surviving in the care of any but it's parent - even abandoned, there's a chance of a mother returning to the egg, but if you've moved or interfered with it, they're unlikely to find it, or trust anything which humans may have disturbed.
Far better chance of surviving, if left there, even if you do mean well - leave eggs, nests etc. where they are.

I would leave it where it is. Mothers don't just leave their perfectly healthy eggs around like that. More than likely its an old egg that didn't hatch.
Even if it was a good egg..the chances of you getting it to hatch are slim to null. Without a brooder set up for humidity and heat control it won't hatch.

Caution...
An egg cannot fall from a tree & land on a rock without breaking. It was, more likely, a snake egg, or a lizard egg.

Well, it depends.
If the egg is a resonably safe place with no one around, i would still leave it.
Also only take it if you have a good heating lamp!

purchase a p.c.. of two being pregnant exams. it incredibly is totally in all likelihood to be precise now (the previous advice of waiting 2 greater weeks isn't approximately contemporary gentle exams) and in case you get a detrimental you could constantly retest in 2 weeks time. you need to renowned what's what ASAP by way of fact in case you're pregnant you in basic terms have a constrained volume of time to make your determination on no remember if or to no longer abort. however: in case you're pregnant it is your determination. do no longer abort (or submit for adoption) by way of fact of what truthfully absolutely everyone else needs. And that includes your boyfriend. If he needed a say interior the priority he ought to have worn a condom. via having unprotected intercourse with you he in fact favourite which you could grow to be pregnant, and at that 2nd he took the determination faraway from himself. only think of roughly it, in case you have an abortion for no different reason than worry of having a boyfriend who does not go with the infant, what do you think of will happen? Do you think of you need to truly stay with him without resenting him? I must be blunt right here: in case you're pregnant you will maximum in all likelihood finally end up dropping him no remember what you do. the version isn't any remember in case you lose him and shop your infant, or lose him and don't shop your infant. Make no mistake approximately precisely what's the determination you would be making. do no longer for one 2nd think of you will stay some fairytale of staying with the guy, getting married and beginning a family contributors at the same time sometime if in basic terms you go with to abort now. Giving him his way in spite of your guy or woman misgivings won't have some form of satisfied end.
