you can burn a lot of calories and it is fun it is been called the best way to get fit every where and it is jumping on a small trampoline you can get them for about 30.00 or so and watch for sales too it uses the most muscle groups so that is way it is the best exercise you use your arms and leg and stomach all major muscles groups and it is fun jumping rope is what they also say but CZ on a trampoline you also have to keep your balance so you are using all your muscles it is really the best and any thing you enjoy you will stick with any way good luck!!!!
I also read to try just jumping like you are taking aim with a air (basket ball) that is also really good for getting legs into shape but you do really use your stomach when you jump you flex the muscles to do it!

Please ignore everyone who says crunches. They will do basically nothing to remove the fat from your stomach.
You cannot target an area to lose fat. If I run, the fat will not come off my legs... well, some will, but it is beyond our control what part of the body your system will choose to use for energy.
The important thing is to do more exercise. The problem with being very overweight is that some exercise is dangerous. You would not want to hurt your knees, because that will stop you from doing any exercise, upset you, and you may never return to exercise.
So the answer to your question is to do the most intensive exercise you can manage, but to be very careful about not overdoing it for the above reasons.
For you, I would suggest riding an exercise bike. This is good for overweight people who are trying to lose weight because it can be adjusted to suit your current ability and tolerance, but does not impact on your feet, knees, or spine like running will.
Doing some weights is also good, because your muscles will improve, your bone density will increase (prevents osteoperosis), and the better muscles use more energy, so will contribute to your weight loss.
You must be sure to take advice, because you do not want to injure yourself. In extreme cases there is a risk that excessive exercise can cause heart failure.
I can't stress enough, do not overdo it. If you injure yourself, you could easily set yourself back 3 months.
At this stage, I would not bother, if I was you, doing any crunches at all. You need to focus on one thing at a time. This is the perfect time for you to create a trend towards good health, so be patient, take one step each day, and seek support if your confidence or motivation wavers.
It is best to find a friend to exercise with, for mutual support, especially in a case such as yours where you are really keen. You don't want to get all upset and throw in the towel!!!
: ) Good luck to you and congratulations.
Edit: I agree with the previous answerer who suggested to stick to the exercise bike for now. If you can find some good mild exercise that you enjoy, such as walking, gardening that would be great to add as well. Just be patient, and stick to your goals. Maybe set some goals that have nothing to do with weight as well, such as aiming to improve how much exercise bike you can do at a time etc. : )

There is no one specific exercise to lose belly fat. Abdominal exercises will develop the muscles, but not get rid of the fat. Aerobic exercises like; bicycling, walking, running, aerobic classes, and other exercise lasting a 1 minute or more( for best results lasting 15 to 60 minutes) will start decreasing the fat over your entire body evenly, not certain body areas. The more muscle you have or develop through resistance exercises will help you burn more fat when you are not exercising. You'll get the best results by doing both resistance and aerobic exercise along with proper diet or nutrition. Hope this helps

The truth is for the belly, a.k.a. abs you should know that site loosing is not guaranteed. Losing weight is normally all over your body if you are losing. But deep breathing works for me. Count to 5 as you are breathing in and filling your chest then count to 5 again breathing in filling your belly then count to 5 again holding your breath then let it out for the count of 10. Repeat 10 times in the morning when you first wake up and ten times at night before you go to sleep. This procedure will help to detox your system and allow you to increase your metabolism. No one tells us this because it is free. You will notice an almost immediate change in the amount of your defication. This in return will reduce your abdomen. If you have 100 lbs it will take you less time if you increase your acitivity level, reduce your sugar intake, increase water intake because many times we eat thinking we are hungry when in actuality we are only thirsty.

Try taking belly dancing classes. There are some great videos from the Belly Twins, that have great workouts. It's high cardio with a focus on tummy toning, it's fun and kind of sexy. Which is great when you are trying to look and feel better.

My brother got banded a year ago and has has several fills. He exercizes lots. He has not lost a single pound. He cheats. Following the rules are way more important that the exact kind of exercize. No water before or after meals. No chocolate or icecream or soft foods that slip through a band. etc. Walking is enough the longer you walk the more you will loose.

The belly is the first place we gain fat, and the last place we lose it. Workout (weights) and eat right (meat, fruit, veggies, etc) and lay off the sweet stuff. It takes TIME...you didn't get overweight in a day and it will take a while, so stick with it.
