Time to Boycott China?

Question

With China cruelly beating dogs to death (literally) as an ordered mass slaughter because they may or may not have rabies -- all because the owners are not being responsible in caring for the animals thereby allowing for the spread of the disease to humans -- I believe it's now time to boycott China in all things possible.
Harming animals for the sake of convenience is way beyond the realms of human decency. And to do this in such a cruel and barbaric way deserves a SEVERE backlash.
Okay, so that was more a statement from a soapbox than a question. So, do you agree?

The Humane Society HAS offered conditional aid for vaccinations and funds towards that -- provided they don't club any more animals. Sorry, but in my mind, if you can't care for an animal, you shouldn't have it. Cruelty is NEVER an excuse no matter how poor you are. (Even shooting would be more human than beating them to death -- and they don't know WHY and most haven't done ANYTHING!!) Between this and the fur trade of companion animals -- I think I'm going to be doing intensive searching to only purchase items NOT made in China!!!

I agree that all dogs should be vaccinated. That said, Rabies is a horrible way to die.

The Chinese could find more humane ways to kill the dogs; but, they can't tell which dogs are infected but not showing symptoms.

I agree, also, that the dogs are paying the price for the government's lack of leadership in requiring rabies vaccinations.

But, at least they are trying to contain the rabies outbreak.

Once again, the animals are suffering for lack of judgement on the part of their owners.

No. They are not harming out of convenience, but rather out of fear. Have you ever seen a person die from rabies? Thousands of people, and probably tens of thousands of dogs are facing a rabies outbreak there. Thousands of people have died. Many more dogs must have as well. Vaccines are not widespread, people are poor, and there is not a good licensing system in place. How about if some major organization bucks up and donates or organizes donation of vaccines to ship over and administer to pets?

Yes, it is terrible what is going on there! They have even killed dogs who HAVE BEEN vaccinated by the owners. There are no animal right laws there and even people who have pets and care about them probably do not have a lot of resources to take care of their pets as they would like. Someone else mentioned thousands have died...I heard it was 3 people that died!

Chip gadgets. and so on. by using fact you desire to boycott China, i could propose you first commence with your vehicle. China is a extensive employer of motor vehicle aspects to US motor vehicle producers. whilst your washer might say Sears, the motor to the indoors electronics are probable made foreign places, an outstanding hazard in China. outfits shoes, even those that are Italian are probable made in China. I agree. I have seen documentaries on some countries and how they use dog or cat fur for "faux" fur clothing! It is horrible.
