i think you should be allowed to do whatever you want with your own money... but its wrong period to be here illegally so anything they do is wrong because they're here illegally.they should go back to mexico and become a citizen like everyone else who is waiting in line and doing things the legal way.... but on the other hand i also know that there are poor people in mexico, real poor people, not poor by usa's standards, but really poor.i think a lot of people agree with me and bush seems to be doing the right thing about it, make the ones here get in line behind the ones who are applying legally, and have them pay large fines.

We can make it illegal, but will the government really do anything about it? Better option would be to tax the heck out of it - you can wire funds to individuals in Mexico, but without proof of being in the US legally, you have to pay a 60% tax - so you send $100 but your friends only get $40 or so...

Yes, I agree with you. This is a huge drain of US$ out of the country. At the very least, the money transfers should be documented and taxed heavily.

I agree with BoredStiff, government issued photo id should be required for all financial transactions. Cashing checks, transferring funds, etc.

You could never know. I'd vote for it. No proof no business. Hey people can also get away with it. If you really have no papers and you take their money , who the hell are they going to sue?

No, plain and simple. Most people are not going to find it enjoyable to be carrying birthcertificates around just to prove they are citizens. The goverment highly recommends people hide away social security cards and birthcertificates so that they can't be stolen by just carrying them around.
