We don’t!
Why do we have 3 Holy Books?
Torah, Bible and the Koran.
Why did the Christians need a second testament?
The words of god through the mind of Jesus.
That means Gods words weren’t good enough?
Jesus word is more worth than the Words of god himself?
Basically we all only have one god.
Why aren’t we all friends and respect each other?
Because a religion manipulates the Mind of a human.
It manipulates the mind so much until they only can think in one direction and any other thing is impossible and evil.
The Christians think they are better than the Jews or Muslims.
The Jews think that they are and the Muslims they think that their way is the true way.
That means the words are manipulated.
There is only one God.
That means there is no god who only favours Jews, Christian or Muslims.
But that didn’t work a long time ago.
One religion could have conquered the world.
That was unacceptable by others and they needed to create another religion to get a balance.
However the second religion became so powerful that they needed a third to balance the power again.
Religion is an instrument of Power.
Make a lot of people believe in one thing and you can make them fight for it.
They will fight for it because they think it is the right thing to do.
But only god is allowed to give and take life.
You can not even take your own life.
If you do you aren’t faithful to god.
You can only take another’s life in self-defence.
You can not kill in the name of god.
But priest, sheiks and whatever is out there who spread the word of god change the meaning.
Change the meaning to their favour.
Change the meaning to make people believe in something what isn’t really true.
Humans like to believe what they see.
But do they really understand what they see?
There is a thin line between seeing and believing.
See it with the Eyes of a blind and you will see the truth.
Believe in the unseen and you will understand.

One of the greatest problems with the Bible exists in the actual translation process. The Bible was originally written in Greek, Latin and Hebrew/Aramaic (dependant on the section in question). These, like any other translations have idiomatic phrases, and archaic words with no direct modern equivalent, such as the unit of money the talent, and also the measurement in stadia throughout the Bible.
When translated these phrases are usually substituted for equivalents. Another problem is that Greek and sometimes Latin have little if no word order and so it is heavilly reliant on the translator to ensure that the sentences are assembled correctly. Similarly where someone is copying the Bible, it is essential they don't make a mistake, which is essential with a language such as Greek where a single accent or letter can change the meaning of the word completely.
There is a solution- read the Bible in one of its original languages- I read it in Latin and it's much easier to understand in some cases. This ensures less confusion and was standard practice until recently in the Catholic Church to deliver sermons and give services in Latin, and the Orthodox Church still uses Koine (Biblical) Greek in most if not all services and ceremonies.
As for the question, God didn't need to create a book originally as the first humans ever were created sinless, following God's word without question. It is their sin which cast them out, and so humans needed a reminder of their obligation and also of God's love for them, if only they accept him.
The written Bible also has its use in spreading the mesage of Jesus to the world- a book is one of the most effective ways of sending a message to any nation, and the 12,000 or so recognised translations of the Bible ensure that people of all nations can access the Word of God even without a priest or church. The practice of learning the Bible from heart has long gone and is no longer needed as most people can read.
Also, the original Bible came from the disciples of Jesus who heard His words and were blessed by the Holy Spirit to carry the message and it is understandable then that they wrote it down. Indeed some of the Bible is made up of letters, notably the letters of St. Paul and his travels around the Mediterraenean.
Also, the creationist view, and mine, is that the Earth is only 6000 years old, and so the Bible is not 'late' as such- the oldest part of the Bible stretches almost 1,600 years before the Birth of Christ, and 500 years after His death. But the New Testement is the words of Jesus Himself, and should NEVER be doubted.

First, why restrict this just to KJV of the bible.

First, we must deal with the originals. The Bible was written over a period of greater than 1000 years by people of different backgrounds, cultures, economic circumstances, birth status, and occopation. However they ALL agree in every detail on everything. Try getting 10 people in a room today with all the above in common and see if they can agree on 10 things let alone hundreds.

The bible may have been penned by man but it was dictated to them by God. He did not manipulate it.

For many years it was hand copied. When this was done, it was checked exactingly to make sure that the copy was identical, in every detail to the original.

So much for the originals.

Now, as you know, it was originally in Greek and Hebrew etc. The problem is, now, in the translations. In some cases "manipulation" did take place. This is evidenced with the JW's translation - it supports their beliefs whereas others don't. The KJV is a good translation as are NIV. NASB. The Living Bible is a paraphrase, not a translation.

Why so late? Don't understand this bit. Humans to write it? How else can He show that He can and is willing to reveal Himself to you?

You might think I'm nuts but I don't care.

I did in fact have a dream several years ago about a particular scripture that I did not know was in the bible. In fact I did not know the bible well at all. It took another person to tell me that it was written in there. Here goes.. And I was the one preaching too in the dream dressed in white.

Even though this Book was written by man it was inspired by God. It says it in a different way than I spoke it but never the less it is in 2 Timothy 3:16. It was really a neat experience.

I have had other dreams as well and other experiences too.

You all really need to open your mind to the Truth Of God's Holy Book. God Bless you!!!

I believe that the Bible has def been messed with over the years. Anyone with a rudimentary knowledge of history would realize that the Bible was not always handled by the most righteous or holy of men therefore I don't believe that it could come thru the years unscathed. But that is why you have a brain and the ability to think! Feel for yourself if something is right or wrong. It is humanities desire to be told what to do that leads to its destruction. If people were taught at a young age to take responsibility for their actions and make their own decisions instead of relying on God, community leaders, or the gov't then the world would be a muh better place. Now am not advocating anarchy or lawlessness just make your own decisions! And when you make your own decisions don't say its b/c of my race, age, weight, the Twinkie made me do it! Whatever! Take responsibility and take charge of your life!!!!

being one that doesnt believe in the bible, i'd have to say i think the entire thing was 'manipulated' much of the christian bible today is only the way it is because King James ordered it like that. and no matter how holy you are, do you really think you would argue with the king when he told you to put this book, that book and those books together to form the bible?
i personally see the bible as no different from any other grouping of books, for example, keeping with Christianity, put books by billy graham, Max Lucado, DC Talk, Audio adrenaline (yes i know the last two are bands but they've both put out books), throw it together into one big book, and call it god-breathed. thats basically what the bible is. a bunch of writing, by a bunch of guys, that some people decided was the holy word of god.

I was one who belielved this , but after a intense study of both the old and new testament i believe the bible had to written by men insipred by God or it would not fit together so perfectely// We are just mortal man and cannot comprehind the mind of someone so superior because we struggle with the simple things in life and are not ready for anything else. Example we may think by going to the moon is a great accomplishment, but we need to think is that greater than making a grain of corn with all the chemicals as a natural grain of corn ,but one will reproduce and the other will not? Why ? We as mortal humans have not answered this simple question ? So i have only 1 belief that God did it and my degree is PHD in PHYCIS kinda retortical isn't it???

That's a good question. I believe God tested the men who wrote the bible to see that they had a pure heart and were not corrupt, ya know to make sure they were the right people for the job. The reason God didn't write the bible is because he is a spirit, he has no body, so he needed a man to write it for him. Hope that helps answer your question. You could always ask God anyway. Or someone in leadership at a church, as they know a bit more then I do.

I'm not sure 'manipulate' is the word to use, though some may say I'm wrong. It is definitely the interpretation of God's word- that is why the same story is written differently in different parts of the Bible (e.g., the Apostles' sections relate some of the same stories, but differently. This is due to their memory of the instance, or what they retrieved from it. The Bible, itself, was not created by God.

All things written by man are written according to his knowledge, which is fallible, his prejudices and what he wants to write. the Bible is based on much fable, agreed upon as fact. It was a product of it's time. The King James version is just that, a version written for King James . If the Bible could be altered or added to for him, how many times could it have happened in the past! I think it was written by man to explain what he can never understand.
Witness the Universe and how little we know!
