Do you have a doctor you can talk to? Or the nurse at your school? Your BMI (body mass index) is a little on the high side. Sometimes you grow out of it. But many people don't. Especially in America right now, it's a problem for people of all classes, races, gender etc. Find an activity that you enjoy and start doing it. You'll feel better about yourself, have fun, make new friends who like something that you do too. If you can't think of anything, just start trying new things and I bet that you'll find something you like! But definitely talk to a doctor, nurse, or nutritionist. They can help you find ways to make small changes in your diet that make big changes in the number and type of calories you consume. Sometimes, something that seems healthy, isn't. I know of someone who lost over 50 lbs just by walking for 30 minutes every night and by not drinking soda (of any kind) anymore and only drinking water. She also has fewer dental problems now and doesn't have the ups and downs from the sugar in the soda.

your height and age correlation is not bad. you jsut grew faster than most. they will catch up. i'm pretty sure 185 is overweight for being 5'7". i would sugest that since you are only 12, you can get into good habits now and lose a little weight. stay away from sugars and get active. you will be thankful you did in a couple years. when i suggest you lose weight, its not for looks, i say it because it could be unhealthy and later life-threatening. take control now and you can enjoy the ride later! good luck! =]

That's bad. You should diet and exercise and change some of the fat into muscle and start toning your body. Take up a sport. This is your health. You don't want to be obese.

It is probably considered overweight. You might want to check your BMI to make sure (you can find a BMI caculator online if you google it). My guess is though that it's probably just a phase, and that you will thin out as you get older...alot of people are awkward at that age. :)

its not horrible, but make sure you are eating right and getting atleast an hour of physical activity a day. if you think you need to lose some weight maybe talk to your doctor and he or she can help you out.
