It's extremely mature and polite for the man to pay for the dinner dates, especially if he did the asking out. If a girl does the asking, then she should pay. After you've been dating awhile you should agree to split the bills as much as possible. Love is a 50/50 street (most of the time).

It is an unwritten rule that the man should. Women teach men to value and respect them when they assume the man will pay. If you've been in a committed relationship for a while and you are 100% comfortable with each other then I think (if finances aren't and issue) that it's ok for the woman to pay only on occasion as a way of saying thanks. But, no nO NO... the man should pay.

The guy should always pay...later on in life...when and IF you get married...they are the ones that's going to work their butt of to suport you...so they are the ones that need to take care of you now. You should offer to pay and if he's a real gentlemen, he'll say "No, I got it"...but you should always offer...and i'm not saying you can't EVER pay for something...because sometimes it's nice to show the guy that you can take care of him too. Just most of the time...he should pay. But always have money with you...just in case...lol. Good Luck! God Bless!!!

Hey Tiffer dont look a gift horse in the mouth if he wants to blow his hard earned cash on his special lady then let him offer to pay your shrare and then let it go. He has good old fashion manners and be happy that your guy has them .
If you feel bad about him paying and he wont let you pay . Invite him over for a big old you cooked meal and a little quiet couch time . that way you get him and pay for the dinner . Its all good

If your date asked you out for dinner that in itself indicates he will foot the bill but If you both were to suggest eating out together then it would be appropriate for you ask if it's dutch treat and if he's a gentleman he will offer. On the other hand if he suggests going dutch he may still want your company, but perhaps pinched for money at the time.

Mostly the guy...but sometimes the girl as well.
I usually go by the "whoever does the asking" rule.
