put some clove in the tooth or around it, you will feel relief. If it is infected you will need to go get some lavender oil and put it on you jaw on the outside of your mouth.

The truth is you should put some fresh sage in your mouth. (NOT DRIED). It is a natural desensitizer as is fresh mint though not as potent. The best thing is put a wet mint tea bag on your tooth and let it set there for 15 minutes.
For an abcessed tooth, rub the area with a fresh garlic clove cut in half, and eat 1 or 2 fresh cloves of garlic daily.
For the future to avoid tooth decay use alfalfa, burdock, dandelion, and violet in your diet to have a free and easy smile.

Try using Oragel. The stuff that they put on babies who are teething. It works. It's not a home remedy but I really dont know any that work. No matter what you hear dont put a asprin on the gum under it. They told us in dental assisting school that, that is the biggest 'wives tale' of them all. The asprin can damage the enamel of the tooth, making the tooth weaker, and in all actuallity not helping at all.

hubby just had the same problem 2 weeks ago....nothing will get rid of it long term other than the dentist but you can take a fresh clove of garlic and bite down on it for a while...or you can rinse and spit with peroxide....or you can take 2 tablespoons of baking soda and mix it in a glass of warm water and rinse and spit rinse and spit until its all gone....that was my hubbys favorite so it must have worked

If you have a tea bag - use it and hot water. Cool down the tea bag, but while its still warm (warm as you can take it) put it in your mouth where it hurts. This has worked for me - a short period of time - but it works.

Clove oil - just a few drops, but it will numb your whole mouth :) so be careful when drinking hot drinks etc.
