I strongly suggest the Princeton Review for the SAT. I had good luck with it, though that was several years ago. Honestly the BEST thing you can do to study for the SAT is to consistently STUDY for it. What book you use doesn't really matter that much. They pretty much teach the exact same things.

Princeton Review w/ the CD-ROM, good to use as a study aid. Quite frankly I did not find Kaplan or Barrons very useful in my study. You may want to consider taking a Princeton Review course. Its expensive, but a lot of the centers offer scholarships, you should call and check them out.

Buy the College Board Blue Book. Alot of my friends said that it really helped them
OR...you can purchase the Sparknotes* New SAT book. Its highly organized but its not really the best if you're weak on math

Believe it or not, your local library should have a choice. Two years ago I helped my nephew. There were two books, one we check out, but the second was for "Review Only In The library. You can call on the phone and ask for assistance, they can give you answers (names of books, sorry I forgot names), then go into the library and check them out (saves time), plus sometimes you can review information on line. Next we went to our local junior college library and was able to read in their library. If you are a student you can check books out. Good luck, my prayers go with you, I'm proud of you. I helped pay for my daughter, son, nephew, and niece college educations. Remember different kinds of financial assistance for books, etc are available through the schools state and federal programs, but you have to get in right away to get applications in. Remember you are part of running our world of tomorrow.
