It doesn't matter what you put in the water, you need to start with eggs you have had in refrigerator 4-7 days. After boiling place eggs in cold water, wait 1 min. pour of water add more cold water for3-4 min. Tap and then roll eggs then peel.

I add salt and vinegar to cold water. Before I put the eggs in, I take a sharp knife and poke a small hole in the egg. After they cool, the shell and membrane right under the shell slide right off. Try it...works every time!!

if your eggs are really fresh they will stick - I go with the Emeril rule put eggs in pot fill with cold water bring to boil for 3 mins turn off heat cover for 10 then put in fridge - seems to work ok -
