Our rescued kitten was found to have an oozing place on her head that didn't seem to heal with topical treatments. We took her to a vet. She was found to have a warble in her head, right behind her right ear, and it was huge. The vet had to sedate her and make an incision to get it out, and then gave her an oral antibiotic to follow up. Since then, her behaviour's been strange, and seems to get worse every day. She sleeps a lot more, and no longer meows.. She often jumps up on this one chair and seems to be following something up in space with her eyes that only she can see. Her eyes have changed in appearance, as well. They seem sunken in, and rolled upward. For the past week, she has acted as though she doesn't understand much of anything. Tonight, we found her on the kitchen floor repeatedly throwing herself against the cabinets and flipping over very hard onto her back. She seemed almost possessed, like she couldn't help it or stop it. Could she have brain damage from the warble?

BTW, the warble was excised over a month ago.

it sounds like she may still have swelling on her brain, i would take her back to the vet and have it re drained, this happens sometimes if you drain something on the head it makes another hemotoma(bruise) and swelling occurs again, and that could very well be the reason for her odd behaviour,,, cause if something is swelling it can be pressing on any no of nerves, just get it drained again and see if that helps,,,,,, also until you get her to the vet do you have a pet carrier, you can put her in ? cause she sounds like she might do some serious damage to herself until this is fixed,, and any cat just like people can have brain damage, as a result of birth or accident, but this sounds like a motor problem caused by pressure on the brain from swelling. eme when you find out for sure. god bless and bless your little furry baby

What did the vet propose? (as nicely greater assessments?) If he have been given hit interior the pinnacle no longer undemanding sufficient to knock him subconscious, i could think of he could have the cat equivalent of a concussion -- perhaps headache, blurred resourceful and prescient a minimum of and who knows what else. whilst his techniques is improving he could act strangely and be in some soreness. are you able to supply him something for the soreness and techniques swelling? Can vet propose what you're able to do for lowest value, desire to medicate and shelter him at domicile? in elementary terms time will tell how plenty injury yet in spite of you're able to do to assist him get by using it and as vet what to observe for. Is he eating and eating?
