I have the same prob. ( I'm a girl) Try going to a salon and getting it thinned or buy some hair products or if your hair is long enough try straighting it.
Hope it helps

ok, truly, my hair is a touch longer than shoulder length, and it also "poofs" after I dry it. i stumbled on a tremendous product, it is from Paul Mitchell- it is termed Smoothers- it is a really targeted serum that you rub on your hair at the same time as it is moist or dry- this stuff is wonderful!! my hair is evidently rather wonderful in spite of the undeniable fact that, and if i positioned any variety of product like that on it, it ought to weigh it down and make my hair seem oily- no longer this! i think like it moisturizes my hair and protects it from damage, in spite of the undeniable fact that it also smooths my hair down and helps cover my chop up ends. its astonishing! good success!

Your gonna wanna use a hair product. Something like a pomade, or molding creme. American Crew is a great line.

with the hair. Try dove hairspray it allows your hair to be flexible. But also holds it in place. Long hair-straighten? You could try gel but don't overdo it looks like you have really greasy hair!!!!!!!!!!!!

get it layered and thinned... don't put too much product in it, as that adds volume to it.
