I assume in going back to Texas would mean living with your mom. If so I see why your dad protests. I am sure there is a good reason why you are where you are. Not for you but for your Dad.
While it may seem like your father is being unreasonable .......Consider this........you are being introduced to what life will be like after you are out of high school. Life never goes just as we planed.
The true test of our character is how we handle these things. Yes you will regret not being with your friends at graduation. But compared to what could be ahead of you it is small potatoes. You will survive and perhaps life has a very pleasant surprise waiting for you. Hard to see now I know but it does happen.
Make a deal with your dad. For not letting you do this ask him to let you go to the collage of your choice. You have to be reasonable about that but think of the possibilities. Once you graduate high school you should be on your own. But along with that freedom comes responsibility. You must live and continue to educate yourself. If your dad can do this for you it will be far better for you than being with your friends for only one more year.
If you do get to go back, great. But don't let it get in the way of where you are going. Trust me.....life is an adventure....and very much like what Forest Gump said. It is a box of chocolates but you have to know which one to pick. Pick the right one and your life will be great. Pick the wrong one and you will forever regret it.
Don't be depressed. This is just another opportunity you need to grab on to.

You will regret it. Friends are important but don't let yourself be depressed. What ever you decide to do, you should know what your getting into. Maybe some information you can get will help you and your Dad make the right decision for you.
You need to check with the school for the graduation requirements in Texas. They are almost certain to be different than in California. The stuff they teach there will be different and you may not have the classes you need to meet their graduation rules. You could get stuck having to do an extra year or at least summer school. California is far behind other states in education because there is not enough money from the state. Its great to stay where you have been the longest because you need the support of your friends on familiar turf to get through the last years of high school but you need to trust that your dad wants only the best for you.

I think you will regret it (from a social aspect). It is not the same graduating from the school without all of your friends.
But it is just high school, and the friends you make there are not as big of a deal as the friends you are going to meet in college. So it is not all about graduating with your friends.
If you are really wanting to gratuate there, you might be able to arrange something where you could walk with your friends (but not actually recieve a diploma from there).
Whatever you choose, is going to be your best bet, We cannot make this decision for you. Only you know what you really want. Sort it all out (make a pro & con list) and try persuading your dad (if necessary).
Good Luck. You will be fine no matter what YOU decide.

I feel ya, I made my parents move back to Cali (opposite of you) bcuz I wanted to graduate with the people I grew up with. Either way, it's just high schoo in about two years you won't even think about it anymore. Just make the best of whatever situation you come to and try to make as many friends as you can this year at your new school. It's your last year and you don't really like anybody there, just try and get laid as much as possible, make a mission out of it! the best thing about high school chicks is they rarely have diseases, so go to town buddy!

Well, it's ok to graduate in a different school. You'll be surprised at how many friends you'll make in your new high school. The best thing is that you will be able to keep in contact with them when you go to college! By the end of your senior year, you'll be glad you were able to explore a new campus and made new friends.

If your life revolves around high School then you have a lot of growing up to do. You can have just as meaningful an experience as you could in Texas. High school ins't the world, when it's over it's time to start forgetting about it.
