Why would you think they are a sin? Do you feel they are? I know many wonderful Christian people with piercings and tattoos. Some are religious tattoos and they wear cross earrings and necklaces. If you've been convicted that it is a sin use laser and close up the holes.
We do many things to our bodies to make ourselves feel better. Make-up, fake nails, tanning, etc.
There are terrible sins committed that have a permanent effect, but they are still forgivable. Once you ask God to forgive it than it is no more in His sight and that's all that matters, right?

I don't personally think they are a sin. Where in the bible does it say, you shall not pierce your body or mark it with ink? Some piercings were obviously considered OK, as a lady in the old testament was giving a nose ring for a wedding present. I believe it does say don't mark or pierce or cut your body in mourning with the dead. I think you are just not supposed to pierce or tattoo yourself as a christian, because our bodies are a temple of god or the holy spirit, and he doesn't want us to put holes in it and stuff. So you don't need to repent from having tattoos or piercings. You can take them out the piercings and get the tattoos lasered off if you must. But either way, God won't love you any less if you have tattoos or piercings.

WHether or not tatooing and piercing is a sin is debateable based on the fact that the bible specifically mentions tattoos of evil marks. If you do get them, God will forgive you. It is not what's on the outside that really matters, but whats in you hearts.

My religion says piercings and tattoos are sins. They also said sex and children before marriage are sins as well.
I have done all four and I won't ask to be forgiven for any of them. Ultimately it's my body and my choice. I won't be made to feel bad for my decisions. And yes, they will always be there. Doesn't make me less of a person or believe any less in my faith.

Listen, personally, and being a pastor´s daughter, I know that tats and piercings aren´t exactly sinful. But w-e. The point is that no matter what you do, if you ask for forgiveness, He will forgive you no matter what. That is one of the best things about God, that He is soooooo merciful and forgiving. So all you have to do is ask for forgiveness, but it has to come from your heart.
You can go to www.battlecry.com there you can find some more info.

I don't believe sin exists, but, I imagine piercings and tats would be like any other "sin". If you murder someone, they stay dead after you receive forgiveness, right? When you think about it, a lot of sins are irreversible. That doesn't make them unforgivable.

Because repent means to turn away from. When you repent you are telling God you not going to tatoo your body and you are sorry for the tatto's and piercings already on you.

The more human sperm that touches a tattoo, the more it fades. You should get as much as possible on your skin in the area of the tattoo.
Its God's way of washing your sin away with the life juice of the Almighty.

i dont believe they are a sin.. when.. i dont think tattoos are..
alot of christian bands.. infact hard to find one that doesnt have tattoos...
i believe they are not..... but some people believe it is because your god temple... and you disgrace it by marking on it something permanent.
But if you go to church... and you are saved.. and you accept Jesus as your personal savior...he will forgive you, theres nothing he will not forgive off...except for blastphemy the holy ghost.
i believe you still can have em...and be a christian..but also.. you can eb a sinner and have em then get saved and go to church..and be born again in being a christian..
thats what i believe....about peircings... i dont know...im just not a fan of it.

If ones body is The TEMPE OF GOD then desecrating that TEMPLE is a sin.
You should have thought about it before you did it!
Just apologize to The God through Jesus -- of course HE will understand and forgive.
All above presuming you are indeed a True Christian!
