yes you can continue to take your prenatal vitamin while you breastfeed while it will not affect the nutrient content of your milk (or have any affect on the baby) it will help with your personal nutrient needs at this time.

I would also like to point out that it is incorrect, prenatal vitamins have no effect on hair or nail growth, nor are they recommended for nonpregnant nonbreastfeeding women (and never for men)

absolutely and actually that is a good idea because you will be expending so much energy making milk that the extra vitamins and minerals in the vitamin will make up for all the extras you need and anything you might not get from you diet. good luck with breastfeeding!!

absolutely...you can actually continue taking them for the next 60 yrs if you want, a lot of people do, some people buy them even though they don't have kids, because it makes your hair, skin and nails super healthy...the vitamins are great for you and the baby most doctors recommend you take them to your at least done breast feeding

Yes you should and drink a lot of water. if they make you sick cut them in half (it could be to much iron for you body). i stopped breastfeed 4 months ago i still take them, they are good for you!

wow, for a minute there i was sure that was a joke question. But i see that you are serious. Look on the label of your vitamens. I'll bet it clearly states FOR PREGNANT OR LACTATING WOMEN. seriously, go look.
