I remember paying .88 cents a gallon back in 1999. If the gas was free, I would not support the invasion. The invasion needs to be stopped, and those who broke the law should all be forced to go back home.
The Mexican government should relinquish ownership of Mexico to the United States, so that Mexico can become a state. That would be a deal I would support. Then Mexicans can go home, and live as US citizens.

That'd basically be a form of payola. I'd rather see Mexico dumping its' oil profits into boosting up its' infrastructure so it can take care of its' own citizens. In theory, just going off of what I assume they've made in profits off us from oil sales of the last 20 years, they should about have enough to build a hospital every city block or so...my question is where IS the money going that we've paid em for all that oil? What's REALLY going on, here?
3rd-world country-itis: people starve while the govt. buys guns, and then applies for foreign aid, where poor people in rich countries give money to rich people in poor countries.
Something STINKS with Mexico...

Illegals lower wages for everyone here in the US. So although we might save a few bucks on gas, we would lose hundreds of dollars off our paychecks.
And then even more money would come out of our paychecks to pay for all the free services our government hands out to the illegals.

I want theschools back, Pancha. Gas isn't going to do it. I want to deport all undesirables, by which I include all in gangs, not just convicted felons. Then the schools might be safe again.
If we get the system fixed, you can have screened amnesty, by me. But I want those schools safe again.

Did you really think anyone would say yes? If the price goes up because we no longer have cheap illegal labor so be it. The natural forces of the economy will adjust the market prices. The US will not be held hostage to illegal labor.

They can keep their oil and their people. I'd be happy with a horse and buggy myself. I don't use that much gas anyway because these prices are unnecessary and I won't support the greed of my government or the oil companies.

Of cousre no one would, if they gotta pay $20 for a tomato, they will pay that as long as illegals are out of the country. Weird though, then they'll complain about paying $20 for a tomato.

Bribery is no solution. I'd buy a bike and ride to work before I voted for Amnesty. Illegal is illegal.
