Get a good lawyer, credible witnesses and all available solid proof (ie. physical evidences) to support your case. Most of all, pray. There are unscrupolous persons wearing robes. It means, whoever offers the highest pay, gets it.

Have a good attorney. Have witnesses and evidence to support your case. Be correct (as far as the law is concerned) in the first place. Don't make any big mistakes.

Those are general suggestions. Anything more detailed would constitution the practice of law, and that's limited to attorneys licensed in your state.
