The word Christian means to be 'christ like", which in turn means to be like Jesus, or specifically try to emulate him as best we can. If we look to the Bible to see the Life of Jesus we discover that he did things, that are uniquely Muslim. WHen he prayed in the Garden of getsemity he prostrated himself and put his face to the ground, Muslims do this 5 times a day, when he fasted, he fasted for 40 days straight, Muslims do this in Rhamadan (fasting month), His dress and appearance is seen today my Muslims (beard & robe, when Jesus greeted people he said peace be unto you (shalom alaikum in hebrew) Muslims say asalaamu alaikum (peace be unto you. Jesus refrained from pork, he actually killed 200 of them in 1 account of the bible, Muslims refrain themselves from pork also. Todays modern Christian does none of these things and they say their faith is what will grant them heaven but remember James 2:14-26. "Faith without works is dead"

I asked the exact same question! If Christian truly wanted to be Christ like they would embrace Islam. but they know not what is best for them.

First, the items you listed are not for the most part the important things. How you pray, his clothes, and the exact wording of peace be unto you are not what make you a Christian. I would not consider those works in the way the verse does. Following in Christ's footsteps has more to do with loving people, serving, and leading others to salvation. Now, it does sometimes seem that non-Christians lead better lives than Christians. We Christians are not stepping up to our roles. Also not everyone who says they are a Christian is a real Christian. However, despite this, it is not your works that save you. It is your faith, and works ought to come after that.

First of all, Chtist didn't imitate Muslims since He was long before them.
Fasting 40 days, greeting with peace, Prostrating one's self, not eating pork is not new. The Jews did the same thing. However, you can do all those things and be damned...as you Quoted James....faith without good works is dead. Now go love your neighbor as yourself.

Depends if you like killing or not. Christianity and Islam like to kill their fellow human beings.

I know there are many nice people who believe in God, but the real evil amongst us, are the vast majority of religious followers and believers who have clearly shown over time to be the major instigators of wars, violence, abuse, greed and practically everything evil on our planet.

Even according to Genesis in the Bible, God is clearly the greatest mass murderer in history. The Bible is full of terrible atrocities and evil, far more than nice things, but of course believers will just ignore or twist the atrocities into whatever soothes their confused minds.

Everyone knows of murders and violence associated with Christianity and Islam, I suppose all of the other major religions have a track record of killing their fellow human beings as well.

Whenever a Muslim thinks he/she is better than a Christian, the latter get killed and the forme blown out. Whenever a Christians thinks he/she is better than a Muslim, the latter get preached all over and converted... or else stripped off his/her human dignity.
May God/Allah deliver us from the right religion and grant us to follow him/her in humility honouring our brothers and sisters and celebrating together the beauty of creation.

The church of God or Christians?

The Bible refers to those who are in Christ Jesus as the church of God (1 Cor.10:32, 1 Cor.1:2, 1 Cor.15:9, Gal.1:13 below). The world refers to us as Christians (Acts 11:26 below).

When we (Jews and Gentiles - 1 Cor.10:32 below) are baptized into Christ by the Holy Spirit we are no longer Jews or Gentiles (Eph.2:16 below); we have become a "new" creature (2 Cor.5:17, Gal.6:15 below); we have BECOME individually, as well as collectively, Jesus' living body (Col.1:24 below), the church of God.

The church of God

1 Cor.10:32Give none offence, neither to the Jews, nor to the Gentiles, nor to the church of God:

1 Cor.1:2Unto the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 above) which is at Corinth, to them that are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, with all that in every place call upon the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, both their's and our's:

1 Cor.15:9For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 above).

Gal.1:13For ye have heard of my conversation in time past in the Jews' religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the church of God (1 Cor.10:32 above), and wasted it:.

Col.1:24Who now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up that which is behind of the afflictions of Christ in my flesh for His body's sake, which IS the church (1 Cor.10:32, 1 Cor.1:2, 1 Cor.15:9, Gal.I:13 above).

Christians

Acts 11:26And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church (1 Cor.10:32 above), and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

A New Creature

2 Cor.5:17Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Gal.6:15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature (2 Cor.5:17 above).

Neither Jews nor Gentiles

Eph.2:16And that he might reconcile BOTH (Jews and Gentiles) unto God in one body (the church of God, 1 Cor.10:32 above) by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:

3. WTF is this question about?
4. No one is better than anyone, you're obviously a Muslim and you are trying to put down Christians by saying that Muslims are better because of blahh blahh blahh, can you come up with better arguments. Have you any idea how many times people have already asked this?

They are. Most of the "Christian Right" are projectionists, meaning they slam religion down your throat when subconsciously, they know they are failures at following the Christian faith themselves.

I don't think either are better than each other.. why does one have to be better?? We each have our beliefs and that is what counts.. to have faith and practice your religion..not just say it.. this is one reason there is so much hate these days..everyone want s their religion to be the best..my religion is the best ..for me.. as yours is for you..why don't we leave it that way??
