children and cold sores?

My 3 year old daughter got ahold of my pop and drank from it. Unfortunately I have a cold sore that just showed up that morning. My drink did have a straw and I tend to not let straws touch my cold sore. Is there a chance that my daughter could get them now?

Yes, it is possible since cold sores can be spread by direct contact (kissing), sharing drinks, dishes, and razors.
