We just bought a adorable little beagle, she is a very good dog but when it comes to potty trianing she will pee outside no problem but she will not poo outside! Does anyone have suggestions as to what i could do to get her to poo out side as well? We'll stay outside for like 20 minutes, she'll pee if she has to put she will not poo, any suggestions would be great!

I've had a couple of puppies like that, this is what I've done with them. I take them out like you are doing and if the pup doesn't poo there are two choices when we go back inside. The crate or I take a leash and place it around my ankle, and the pup never gets so far away I can't see what he/she is doing. If they even look like they are sniffing or starting the poo circle dance I take them out immediately. Usually it only takes a couple of days of that.

Good Luck!

DON'T leave her outside for a day or two, good grief! Take her out a few minutes after she eats and wait until she poops. Then praise her mightily. Whenever my sister gets a puppy, she takes it outside every 30 minutes to an hour and stays outside for about 20 minutes. If the puppy does one or the other, she praises it and loves it. All of her dogs are well-trained and wouldn't think of going inside the house. Good luck. Be patient and, above all, don't ever be mean.

Aw, cute. I have a beagle too. Just do the same thing you did with potty training her to pee except with poo. And if she ever does it outside, praise her A LOT!

When the puppy goes on the floor pick up the stool and place it outside where it should go.....usually most dogs look for their smell and go there....we did this with our shepherd and in only about 2-3 times it worked.....also clean the inside soiled spot with a cleaner like Nature's miracle....you need to properly clean the soiled area so they don't smell there poop inside.....try to always leave some poop outisde(until potty trained) so they know where to go....this has always worked for everyone I told to do this!!! I hope it helps!

well i have two dogs...(old english bulldog and a old bulldog , so not my type of dogs) any way... wut i do is i feed them and then right away i take them out side and when they dont go i just sit out there until they do and if i have to wait to long ,becuase they dont go, then they would be in the cage for a little bit.

also my friend has a beagle too, and i have no idea how she does it, but whenever the dog is about to go outside to go to the bathroom she rings a bell on the door close enopgh for the dog to reach. and now when ever her dog has to go to the potty the dog rings the bell

(i know its amazing!!!)

Maybe she needs privacy...just hide in the house and I bet she will poo for you...dogs are (sometimes) like people...she may need a few moments alone...and a Reader's Digest could help! lol
