you know, so when a special program ads and you want to remember it to look at it, but then you forget. make a t.v. with a calendar & remote so you can view each day to see if you programmed in any specials you may want to watch that day or during the week or the following week. because the history channel was showing a show i wanted to see and then forgot when the program was coming on, so i missed it. but heard other people talking about it because they just happened on it while flicking the remote. imagine, a t.v. that you can program any programs along with the day, date, time and channel for at least a two week period.

hi,it was 1994 when my dad shipped a SONY tv kv2110 from the us.... the features you discussed are already available in the tv.(my father used to be a us army and we lived in the philippines)by reading the instructions on the operators manual.we learned the tv can be programmed.24/7 and 7/4.you can program you tv station depending on what time and what date on a certain menu.it automatically turns on and off on a desired time and channel.even for a month.the unit is still operational.i just wonder if the model is still available in your country since manifacturers easily upgrades their product causing older units to be "phased-out"...

Interseting idea.
With Directv you can view the progam guide for TV shows I think up to 5 days ahead then if you like one you can set a reminder for that show

As far as History channel don't worry they replay shows a lot keep checking guide

You can find that feature on any DVR (i.e. TIVO, Replay TV, etc.) Also try looking into Windows Media 9.
