Biggest concern for me is assimilation....

I wish that all immigrants, legal or illegal, will become an active member of our society, believe in our govt. and participate in it, to make this a better country....

We don't know just who is coming in. Obviously it is relatively easy to just walk into the USA because there are somewhere between 12 and 26 million illegals, depending on whom you listen to. They take jobs basically "under the table," so their employers can pay them less and avoid taxation, but they use our school systems and health care as if they were citizens. They demand the same rights under our Constitution without being citizens, so they aren't entitled to those services and rights. They want a voice in government, buit they aren't citizens, so the whole argument is sort of two faced. And finally, if so many of them can easily come into our nation, so can all sorts of terrorists, which stinks because we don't know who they are or where they are or if they are even here.

The effect on the healthcare system. Doctors are required to provide care to anyone in need (which is great) but they also must provide and pay for interpreters. Because illegal immigrants do not normally pay their bills, physicians and hospitals actually pay to serve them. This has literally caused hundreds of ER's in Florida, California, Texas, and other southwest states to close. It reduces access for everyone.

We are already over-populated. Not enough water, the Rio Grande doesn't reach the ocean anymore. Our natural resourses are not limitless. Economic drain. They get free health care, food stamps, the whole package paid for by you and I. They are taking jobs my boys would've loved to have this summer. They don't speak American. Why should we put up with it?
