Can they still practice with special documentation in other states (like Texas)?

I think the best way to find out is contact your state board of medicine and the ASA Washington, D.C. Office for any questions on the licensure and practice locations of AAs.

I'll stick with doctors. I've been through medical school, and I sure as hell am not going to trust the life of anyone I care about with someone who isn't a Board Certified Anesthesiologist.
