my older cat who is 12 yrs old just lost her sister at christmas. she was so lonely i thought she would like a sister so i got a kitten. she was so wonderful with the kittens my other cat had she would lay in the box with them all day and they would try to nurse on her but of course she had no milk. i thought this was a great idea. no such luck all they do is fight growl hiss bat each other constantly. plus the kitten is such a brat always getting to everything she isn't suppose to. she has tons of toys scratching posts everything you could imagine but she wants to play with my pictures hanging on the wall or my christmas lights on my bed or the wires to my computer or stereo or tv. i am at my wits end with her i cant ever open my window any more because she wants to hang on the screen and i am afraid she will fall out the window. i live on the 4th floor. she is scheduled to get fixed in 3 weeks and if this doesnt calm her down i don't know what i am going to do help

Sounds like it is a true no-go. And you obviously don't have much affection for the kitten. If you had gotten the kitten from a shelter they would take her back. Since you say she is not spayed you probably didn't.

So you need to re-home the kitten.

The only thing you can change in life is your attitude. Try to find something to like in this kitten and stop focusing on the negative. It may not help with the older cat and it may help you to be more positive as you present the kitten to a potential adoptor.

I would hope there was a no-kill shelter in your area where you can place her or maybe a rescue organisation that would take her.

I am sorry for you both that this has not worked out. Somtimes you just have to accept that this is not going to work and move on to other options.

That's the way cats are. If they didn't grow up together then it will never work. Even after you get rid of the kitten the cat may never go back to being the way it was. You need to act fast.
