Commercial ear wash works great for poodle ears. You can also use olive oil in a pinch. Just put a few drops in, massage, and then use a cotton ball to wipe out. Most groomers will clean ears and pluck the hair out their ear canals when the dog is getting groomed. If your groomer doesn't perform this service normally, you can request it the next time you take your poo for a hair cut.

Purchase an ear cleaner from your vet or a NON-medicated ear cleaner from a pet store.
Fill the ear canal with cleaner and massage where the ear connects with the head to loosen the debris.
Use cotton balls to get into the canal (don't worry your finger and cotton ball cant reach too far) and cotton swabs to get into the nooks and crannies of his outer ear (do NOT enter the canal with swabs!)

DO NOT USE: baby oil, alcohol, peroxide, etc

There is a wash you can buy at pet smart. But do it outside because when your dog shakes it will go everywhere.
