I've been told that the toxin is the same as rattlesnake poison, but in a smaller dose. If that's true, then it's a protien similar to egg whites.

We have some small black ants down here in Texas that my mother calls "sugar ants." They don't sting you, but that's the only kind I know of that doesn't.

I feel your pain, I've got bites all over me, I hate them, most ants bite. I don't know what the toxin is but we have a serious ant problem and the property owners won't do anything about it, so we have to live with ants making nests in our home.

All ants i know bite and everyone i know get the little blister thing where the ant bites at!!!!! not sure but the little things hurt really bad
