About $250 to $300 to fly him. You will also have to provide an airline approved crate big enough for him to turn around in ($100), and a health certificate from your vet ($30).
If he travels well in the car, it will be a lot easier on him (but harder on you!) to just be in the car with you. I had to travel from Washington to Alabama with a very annoyed cat in my lap!
There are some rules for traveling through Canada with a dog, you would definitely want to check before you travel.

Each airline has different fees and rules. There are also major limitations on when you can ship an animal. For example, I could not ship my cat in August between CA and TX because the ground temperature is too hot for it to be safe for the pet. Alaska may be too cold and Georgia too hot unless you can find a week where both spots fall into the safe range.

You'll also need a vet certification which will cost you the price of a visit (plus my daughter's vet charged $15 to fill out the form).

Check with American, Continental and United. The discount airlines usually don't ship animals.

I ended up taking the cat with me in the passenger compartment, unfortunately you can't do that with a Rotti.

Good luck.
