It won't stay past the first washing, and it will be sticky and start to smell.
You can dye your hair with food coloring, though. Just be prpared, that lasts quite a while (and depending on your hair, might never come out completely.)

Yes, although it works best on light hair...It won't bleach out dark hair.
FYI, the "Horse Of A Different Color" in the Wizard of Oz was dyed with Jello.

You can temporarily tint light (ie blonde) hair with it, but dye it permanently, no.

You know I did hear that a looooooong time ago. I think with the berry flavors. I would not try it.
