Here it is- it has worked for my 2 kids, and others after I tell them........

1. get m and m's handy
2. get a small potty chair
3. get a couple books about potty
4. you need to be home for about 4-5 days straight
5. now you can start. let them run around bare-but
6. Set the timer for 1/2 hour. Tell him/her to sit on the potty for 5 min. (read them a book in the mean time if it's to long for them.) If they go, give lots and lots of praise!!! I mean go crazy!! Give them about 3 m and m's.
7. Set the timer for 1/2 hour
8. Avoid asking the question "you got to go potty?'
9. Timer goes off- ok! What does that mean junior? Time to go potty again he or she would say, or you say it if they don't
10. repeat process all day long. If they go # 2 in the potty, reward with a handful of m and m's. They are very colorful and kids love them!!

11. Praise praise praise. I do spank my kids for behavior problems such as lying, disobedience, and bad attitudes, but never for having an accident. If there is an accident, clean it up queitly, and don't say much at all. Remind them it's ok, but try to make it in the potty next time, or in your own words.

Good luck!!! Hope this helps you. My girl was potty-trained in two days with the method. Took my 2 1/2 year old son a week. Leave pull-ups on them at night just in case.
p.s. if this doen't work at all, try again in a few months.

I am battling this one as we speak. I HATE POTTY TRAINING!!!!!! I have tried everything you can think of. Bribery. I tell him "If you go to the potty then you get a M&M" That didn't work so we moved on to the sticker chart. I made a sticker chart and if he went pee then he got one sticker and two for pooping. It worked then got old. Well he's 3 and I'm fed up with it. My son's pediatrician told me that pullups defeat the purpose of potty training and should only be used at night. They need to feel the wetness. Try just underware. Let her pick out some pretty underware and tell her that they are only for big girls that potty in the potty. That is what I am doing and so far so good. Good luck!

Go for like 1 week, more if neccessary, without diapers, pull ups, nothing on. My son went pee whenever he had something on. (I can do this cause I'm a stay at home mom.) Then increase the fluids so you can teach her lots of times throughout the day, when she has to go. Ask her every 10-15 min if she has to go. And take her anyways, if she doesn't have to. After you've got her pretty well trained, get the really thick thick training underpants (I got mine from Walmart) and put those on...they absorb into the front and bottom, but don't get the clothes too wet, and they feel like real big girl underwear. Don't discourage her, and always be upbeat about it and very excited when she does a good job, REWARD HER!

Good luck...patience be with you. :)

Be patient and take him/her to the potty frequently. Don't MAKE him/her go potty.
I got very good results in the summer time by leaving the diapers off and putting on underwear/panties so they could feel the sensation and the consequence that followed.
Make a BIG DEAL when he/she does accomplish going potty.
REMEMBER that boys can take a long time to potty train....
If you push the issue to the point of making the child feel uncomfortable, you will get the opposite results of what you're trying to accomplish here.
It'll happen.... be patient.....

my daughter will be 3 September 10 of this year, she is fully potty trained except for bedtime...(which im working on) What i did was basically just put her in her choice of "big girl" panties like Dora, Disney Princess, etc..., and let her wear them all day (and asked her about every 5-10 minutes "Do you have to go potty" )and if she had an accident then i would take her to the potty and explain to her very nicely that your supposed to "potty" in the toilet and or potty seat, and eventually she just "clicked" and started doing it all the time, it took me about a year to get to where im at now..... Consistantsy and Patience is the key here!!! Hope this helps!!!

Your three year old will stop using her diaper when she is ready and not before. All these so called potty training techniques do not work, at least not on all children.

My little girl wet her diaper, and wet it and then one day she just stopped and started going to the potty. She did it when SHE was ready.

And I tried every technique out there, nothing worked until she decided that she was ready.

The one and only thing that even helped alittle was putting her in "big" girl pretty panties instead of pullups.

Use a sticker chart. Every little kid loves stickers, and they feel proud when they earn one. Make a fun looking chart, buy some cute stickers, and tell her that everytime she uses the potty she will get a sticker. When she fills her chart she gets a special toy.

my son is also 3yrs old and is still not using the potty or toilet. the best advice i can give you is just to be patient and wait for her to be ready as we are doing with our son. keep telling her ever time you go so that she understands that when you need to pee you go to the toilet but don't force or try to push her into using the toilet as that will backfire on you. just wait till she is ready and then when she is reward her. Good Luck

You can try whatever you like or are told that helps... but it will only do that, help... A child will go potty when they are ready, and not a second before... Good luck and be patient... it will happen...

Take her completly out of diapers/pull ups. Children do not like to be wet.

Take her with you when you have to go.

Get an egg timer. Set it for every 30-1 hr. Take her then.
