Tylenol is a paracetamol for fever and body pains, while amoxicillin is an anti-biotic for infections of various types. When a child is having normal fever, you can have him take tylenol. If you suspect that the cause of fever is somewhat abnormal (ie. associated with severe cough, throat infection or due to wound, etc.) Amoxicillin is the best. But, before administering any anti-biotic, especially for kids, you have to consult a doctor and obtain the correct prescription. Best of health.

I wouldn't mix the two together. If he has already had a dose I think what the doctor meant is that you can switch off every couple of hours between motrin and tylenol. I put a cold rag on my 10 month old head the other day he was going through the same thing. I just sat and held him and he fell asleep. You'll be o k.

I really think that you should consult your pharmacist rather than asking a bunch of random strangers.
Usually you can give tylenol when giving other meds. It usually is not a problem. But if I had this question I'd call a pharmacist.

I WOULDN'T. I dont mix chemicals or medications. Most of the time its probably ok, but for the 1% chance it could cause a hazourdous reaction, it's worth it to stay away from mixing. I would consult a medical professional.

I believe there was a report not long ago regarding something wrong with Children's Tylenol. Call your doctor and consult with him asap and what is safe and why you need something.

You can give BOTH at the same time: ask your local pharmacist or doctor. I would suggest making sure whoever is using both takes the amox. with food to soften the blow on the tummy. Yogurt is good to take with as well for the benefits of not getting a yeast infection. YES_ baby boys and girls can and do get yeast infections if this is for a baby. Link below will lead you to a local pharmacist. Be well! ><>

In general that would probably be ok but you always want to ask either your doctor or the pharmacist if you aren't sure on mixing any meds (bothe RX and OTC)

yes - your pediatrician will tell you to give your child both if they are running a fever because of their infection - tylenol is the one fever reducer that will not interact with other meds - If u don't trust me just call the offc - the on call nurse will advise you the same - hope the little one feels better soon - nothing worse than bein sick in the summer
