Alright, I live in Texas, with very high humidity. I have only occaisonally had problems with my hair being static in the winter on non humid days, and also when I visited Chicago in the winter and the air was dry. My hair has never done this before especially with the disgusting weather, and I have been taking much better care of my hair than I previously did. I use Nioxin bliss thermal protector before I dry AND straighten my hair, when I do. I use aussie shampoo and paul mitchell tea tree conditioner. What is up with this and how do I fix it?!

i live in south ga so i totally understand what you are going through. last month i found something that worked, and let me tell you, i have tried it all. you already said you use aussie shampoo and that is what i use. follow it by aussie 3 minute miracle cream and actually let it stay on your hair for 3 minutes. after you towel dry your hair, use aussie leave in conditioner + anti-frizz cream, it is so awesome and i think that stuff is what actually keeps down my frizz and flyaways. after you are done straightning and styling your hair, apply a very small amount of balm at your part line in a downward motion. it works for me and i wish you the best of luck!!!!!!!!!!

Spray a little static guard on your hair brush and brush your hair. Static should go away.

this one may sound weird, but I have used static cling dryer sheets, just rubbed them on my hair a bit, and it worked!
good luck!

You can try putting lotion in your hair when it is flying away like that. That is what my mom and I do. It works really good. I hope this helps you with your problem.
