No, I tell them that I am not on the payroll of their company & if they can meet my fee for participation, I'll be glad to give them the time.

It really depends on the nature of the questions.

Surveys sometime go into question categories which don't apply to you. For instance, I filled out one for my cell phone carrier that assumed because I "used" my camera phone (experimentation) that I used their picture mail service and proceeded to ask 20 questions on ease of use and other things about that service of which I never used.

Also, the later questions come in a survey, the more you want to leave and you are more prone to just answer something to satisfy the answering of a question.

That's why when they teach you to write them, you are supposed to mix questions up for different people so you don't fall into that trap.

Anyway, I hope that answers your question. I do answer most of mine truthfully, unless I run into situations as described above.

I guess it depends on my mood. Usually I just give the company the quickest answer that comes to my mind to shut them up.

Yes. I figure since they took the time, I might as well be nice about it. At least, they're not those dreaded telemarketers!!

First of all, if they are invading my privacy by calling me at home I wouldn't waste my valuable time.

I depends on wether or not they are trying to sell me something. If not, I answer honestly. If they are trying to sell me something, I f*** around with them.
