Christ didn't die for religion. He died for my sins and yours. Religion had nothing to do with His death or His sacrifice. People will love whatever they want. I personally don't love "religion" it is my relationship with Him that I love.

I don't think Christ loved religion because the true importance gets lost in all the rules of a religion. However Christ did die for everyone sins. I think that is why some may feel obligated to take their vow of allegiance to Christ to the point of death.

Because it fills a void in their lives, and makes them less afraid of dying. And if they were raised to believe in it, it may be very difficult to see things any other way.
