Depending on what your budget will allow, 2,000.00 - 5,000.00 is fair. Will you be financing it or just buying it. Are you 20 something or 30 something. Is this the real thing. All of these questions are factors in this major decision. The truth is that if it is true love then I would say it is fair to spend a little less, own it outright and at the birth of the first child or the 5 year mark go for the big one. Good Luck!

I've heard the 2x your monthly salary thing before. But honestly, the $$ doesnt matter. If you both are truly in love, the size of the ring won't matter. True love is not a material thing or something you can put a price tag on. Buy what you can reasonably afford!!

That is really up to you and what you want to spend i mean all women are different some want rings like j-lo and then you got women like me where i dont want nothing big and fancy i want something small and cheap a silver band and a cubic zirconia but that is just the way i am i aint in to those flashy things i mean take her looking and see which ones lite up her eyes when she sees them and then get her that one i would say.

The price doesn't matter...or, at least it shouldn't matter. But then again, it can't be something that u got from a pawn shop for 100 bucks. Just keep searching until u find the ring that says, "I'm the one"...

THE PRICE REALLY DOESNT MATTER FOR THE ENGAGEMENT RING WHAT MATTERS IS THE REAL DEAL OR IF SHE IS EXCITED ENOUGH ABOUT THE MARRIAGE THEN SHE WOULDNT MIND IF YOU WENT TO THE PAWN SHOP AND GET IT HELL SHE JUST NEEDS SOMETHING TO SHOW OFF SHE'S GETTING MARRIED........SOME WOMEN WOULD SETTLE FOR A BUBBLE GUM MACHINE RING

Well love how much do you think she is worth? You should forget about cost and think about love, and thn just wonder around from store to store until you find the ring that reminds you of her, then you buy it. She will love it, and love you for taking the time to find something she loves.

Pay for what you can afford don't want too much debt going into a marriage and because you picked it she will love it!!

(But if you got it like that buy her the biggest rock you can find!!)

Much less than you pay for the wedding bands. Buy something close to the $500-1,000 range

In my opinion, spend what you can afford. You don't want to go in debt. I think anything that from the heart is beautful. But I am not like most girls.
