What's going to be the biggest problem with failing to enforce immigration laws effectively?

Well as far as farm production goes(last question), somehow generations of farmers are still in business that use NO migrant labor...and they'd kick the crap out of you for calling em lazy...furthermore, welcome to the 21st century. Don't be a teary-eyed stiff-necked Luddite.

We're gonna be a stinky(literally) 3rd world country with families of 20, schools with quality of retarded all around, and Spanish will be the 1st language. It's very scary..thanks to them kids in my family can't get the education they deserve because the other kids who can't speak English have to "catch up".

What needs to happen is for the United States to annex Mexico. There would be no more illegal immigrant problem, as they would then be Americans. The natural wealth that Mexico enjoys would be ours.....petroleum, a hard working, willing work force, year round fresh produce, gold, silver et cetera. It would be a not-too-difficult task to clean up the corruption by giving their civil servants a decent pay raise so they would not have to solicit bribes just to feed their families, and quietly "disappearing" the hard core criminal element. If things were sufficiently lucrative south of the Rio Grande/Bravo, there would be no further need for the dispossessed to flee north, and all the racist xenophobes north of the border could feel as though they had won a victory of sorts.
I have had the opportunity to work with and get to know lots of so-called illegal immigrants, and they are a hard working, family oriented moral decent lot. The conservative values they bring with them from south of the border would make any bible thumping small town Republican pentecostal proud. Their work ethic puts the rest of us to shame. As a people, we benefit from their labors and their presence. All of this GARBAGE about them being some sort of threat is bovine excrement! It's 100% xenophobic racism, pure and simple.
What I'd like to know is who will wash the dishes, pick the oranges and tomatoes, mow the lawn, repair the roads,make the hotel beds, dig the ditches, paint the water towers, change the tires, harvest the cotton, pecans,lemons, plums, grapes et cetera, et cetera. Americans will not do these jobs unless they pay huge wages with vacations and medical.....and who's gonna pay for all that? We are!! You think the price of gasoline is excessive....wait until you see how much an ear of sweet corn will cost if we have to pay lazy assed Americans to pick, package and ship it.

Actually abolishing the Mexican government, and turning Mexico into a state would be a better alternative. That way Mexico would not have to move in, and those who have crossed over could go back home.

What do you hope to accomplish with this question? I have trouble with hypothetical "what if" scenarious. Stick the subject; all of Mexico is not here yet, come on, GoKart. When I was kid my grandmother told us everyday, the end of the world was near. We're still here!
Mexico is not moving in and we're not asking for Mexico to move in. My biggest objection is to all the empty questions on this forum. Ask me what Congress is doing and has done in past administrations.

Everyone who lives in this country MUST pay taxes which in turn supports the community that they are living in. Immigrants who are undocumented do not pay taxes, but at the same time the population grows and the amount of resources is not adequate to support it. Ex. Schools and hospitals
