I have an older brother and today I was watching Final Destination 2, the DVD he gave me to watch. He said he didn't want to watch, and then 5 minutes later, he comes to watch. After a while, as usual, he comes and squeezes my arms and my face to disturb me as usual. So, I told him, "Go away!" and he slapped me really hard and said, "Alright'' and went downstairs. I went to the bathroom in tear to see if it was red enough. Then he came upstairs again, from what I can hear, and takes the DVD out and goes downstairs with it. My mom doesn't know anything about this cause she was on the phone taking to my dad. Anywayz, now it's really red and he also told me before he left, "Go and tell mom, you're face is redder" What should I do?

This isn't the 1st time he hit me though, but this is the hardest one ever, and I'm only 13 years old and he's 20, turning into 21. I also told my mom the last time he hit me, she yelled at him and gave him a lecture, but he never treatened me like this, and I don't want to go back to school soon with a face that's not even mine. I already havea big bruise on my cheek now and it hurt when I touch it.

Hm, my older sister used to do things like that. Maybe you should try and be the "older" one by being more mature, so he could see how childish he is. Take it like an adult and maybe if all else fails, just tell your mom you're sick of his behavior. Good luck!

What your brother is doing is wrong. He needs to be stopped. Where did he get the idea that hitting anyone, let alone a girl, even worse his sister, is acceptable behavior. Did he see another male in your family do this? Tell your Mom and also Dad if that's possible. If Mom can't or won't do anything, call Child Protective Services or the police. They will certainly handle the matter. If your brother isn't stopped now, he will continue the abuse all through his life with you, your mom, his wife and children. The bigger he gets, the worse it will be. Next time your brother tries to hit you, pick up an equalizer like a rolling pin or iron skillet and show him what it feels like. Most bullies or abusers will not pick on someone who will fight back.

You need to tell your Mom. Your brother should know better than to slap a woman, let alone slap his little sister. My brother would never lay a hand on me. He'll probably be mad, but hopefully it will make your mom aware of the situation so she could resolve it. I'm assuming your dad is gone alot (since you said your mom is on the phone with him all the time) It could be that your brother is trying to get attention. No matter what, he did something very, very wrong and your Mom needs to know. Hopefully she'll get him some counseling so he can come to terms with whatever is making him so angry. It's her job as a mom to deal with his problem, this is not something you should handle. *hugs* Good luck sweetie

I'm really sorry about that. If it makes you feel any better, I'm on the verge of tears about something too.
But my suggestion on what you should do is tell him he shouldn't hit you. He has no right to do that and needs to learn how to STOP. Show your mom your arm and tell her what happened calmly. Try not to cry, just be honest and dont lie as tempting as it may be to.

Tell your mom what he did. He had no right to touch you. And he can't think that he can get away with hitting you. Not to mention guys should never hit a girl.

You should tell your mom. I know that brothers and sisters argue, but that is just plain mean of your brother. My brothers, sisters, and I would never have thought of doing that to each other.

go and tell your mother and if she doesnt do anything then maybe you should call your dad and tell him
but never let him hit you again. if you have to threaten him with some kind of bodily harm then do it but dont let him hit you again.
he will continue to do it until YOU stop him.

I would just ignore him for know and in time when he needs your help or wants something of yours you will remind him of the situation that accured. be tuff and never show weakness because when kids see weakness they will never learn a lesson.
