I feel for you but the onlything you can do is to have a good talk to yourself and be proud that you brought this boy up to be independent and know his own mind. He's done you proud - and he will love you for it! You haven't got a boy who stays in every night because he's got not friends...you'vve got a good, confident clever man to be proud of. As a mother I salute you!
(My son has moved away too - I know how it hurts but it just shows you did such a good job!!!)

The only thing that I can suggest to help you through this is to look at it as if you are retiring. You have worked hard for many years nerturing your son. If I were you, I would feel proud that my son had gone away to do a worthwhile job and is not a layabout scrounging off the government or taking drugs. You had done a good job and your reward is now to take some time to yourself.
Do you know any of his friends parents who are going through the same feelings at the moment. Maybe you could have a coffee morning or just meet up with them in town, that way you are keeping your son close to heart but not smothering him at the same time.

My heart goes out to you. My two children have flown the nest but are only a few miles away so lucky enough to see them.
You should be very proud, I am of all our soldiers.
Keep yourself busy, join a class, learn something new, He is learning so much and enjoying himself as he has said, so, make him proud of Your accomplishments. Don`t let him know you are finding this difficult he needs to concentrate on his job.
Take Care of yourself, Your in my prayers x

Try to find a group of other Army moms. There are a lot of moms who feel the same way. They are the only ones who truly know what works. Sorry about your loss. But I am proud of your son. I am sure you are too. His loyalty to his country is a direct reflection of the great morals you instilled in him. GOOD JOB!!!!!!!!!

You should be very proud of him and there's nothing wrong with shedding a tear. Put his photographs up, write to him and remember you must have done a good job as a parent to feel as you do about him.

My oldest son joined the army in 1981. I thought it would kill me and I cried for days and days. He called often, we wrote often. He married a local girl who lived with us till she could fly out to him. Then in 1983 all calls and letters stopped. I haven't seen him or heard from him since. He's now 43 years old and I last saw him when he was 18. Be thankful you still have him in your life.

i'm no longer lots psychic as i'm quite smart. i be conscious of the destiny because of the fact i'm able to evaluate the present and notice the place those activities will lead. If each and every physique could evaluate the leads to their strikes, maximum folk does no longer be contained in the messes they're in. you will desire to get an training and a real interest and give up demanding approximately no count number if or no longer you're psychic.

Occupy yourself with something for you. You have devoted your life to your son, now it is me time. It is normal to be sad but look forward to a new future as a woman not just a mum.

we all have to let go of our children grow up. Politics and politicians have so much to do with with our beliefs. We all go with the courage of our convictions and do we have the right to to sabatage their minds. I have admiration for your son. He is trying to do something about life. It saddens me that politicians are all rich and yet do no work to HELP this country
