ORANGE SPICE CAKE

1 pkg. spice cake mix
1 med. orange, peeled
1/2 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped walnuts

Place orange peel, raisins and nuts in processor. Squeeze juice of orange. Add to orange peel mince fine set aside. Prepare cake mix recipe on box. Add orange mixture; mix well. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes.

And here's another. This one is for a bundt cake pan.

ORANGE SPICE CAKE

1 pkg. yellow cake mix
1 pkg. (4 oz.) vanilla pudding
4 eggs
1/2 c. oil
1/2 c. orange juice
1/2 c. orange liquor
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Grease well bundt pan. Heat oven to 350. Mix all ingredients and beat according to cake directions. Bake 50 minutes.

This recipe was posted at another site. After LorenLou's review, I tweaked the recipe and wanted to make an update with a stronger orange flavor.
1 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar or Splenda sugar substitute
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/2 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon orange zest, grated
1/2 teaspoon orange extract
1/2 cup mild molasses or sorghum
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 egg
1/2 cup orange marmalade
whipped topping (optional)
orange slices (to garnish)

9 servings Change size or US/metric
Change to: servings US Metric

35 minutes 15 mins prep

Hi Chipper,

Of course I will share the recipe with you.

Take an orange and put it in a bowl.
Take some spice and put it in the same bowl
Now take some cake - any old cake will do - and put that in the bowl

Get a big wooden spoo - oh sorry, door bell's just gone. . . .
