Well, find out if she is ok with living with someone first. My boyfriend broached the topic by simply mentioning someone he know that was moving in with his girl. I then mentioned that I wouldn't live with anyone before I was married.
Women are pretty preceptive, and most likely she'll give an opinion on what she thinks about couples living together. If she doesn't say anything, you can then continue the conversation with something like "I really love you (if you're already saying love- if you're not then stick with like, you don't want to combine the two conversations) and would really like it if we could move in together too. I've noticed it brings couples closer, and I could never get close enough to you" Something sweet and cheesy like that. Really, living together is another step in commitment, so you need to make the invitation to live together something special. Good luck!

The most complimentary manner in which to ask your girlfriend to move in is, "Will you marry me?"
Any other form or intention is an insult to her. I don't think that is what you intend. You have to be able to put yourself into her shoes. Think about it... do you only want her for a maid and sex, or do you love her? If you love her with a true and unselfish love, then, " Will you marry me?" is the only way to go.

Some women are against moving in unless marriage is being anticipated. Your asking her to move in says that you are ready to test the milk w/o buying the cow. Are you ready for that step? If not, I suggest you leave her be unless she brings it up. Treat her like the lady she is, don't ask.

Select a good time to sit down, maybe a glass of wine and just talk. Kiss her a little and tell her how you feel, that you love her more every day... and want to wake up with her......every morning.
Perhaps you could offer to serve breakfast in bed to her on Sundays.. that would sweeten the offer, and score you major points.

Empty out a couple of drawers in your dresser, and move the stuff in your closet over to one side.
Let her know that you've made space for her to bring her things...It won't take long for the hint to sink in.

If you've been together along time tell her it's about time to move along with your relationship, if you haven't been together along time then it's probably not time for something like moving in with each other. Don't rush things.

By asking her to be your wife, sometimes girls want a real commitment before they decide to settle for living together.

Ask her in the sweetest voice... Wanna shack up with me?
Or even better for all you Christian folks: Wanna start living in sin?
