If you have a place to move to then your damage deposit is usually the same as 1 months rent. If you don't have a place to live yet in the city I suggest you save up. At least $1000 cause the rent here where I live is Anywhere from $400-$600 per month. The population here is just over 50,000. When I moved from the Toronto area to Alberta I had $500 plus a place to live while I got my act together. No furniture just 5 bags of clothes. That was almost 10 years ago.

Sure, you can. Take the $265, rent a truck and get your friends to help you. Buy them pizza and beer, and ask them either to ride with you in the truck or meet you at your new place to unpack. It's the only way to move.

if you got friends whit a pick-up rent one of those little trailers there about fifteen bucks for six hours spend the rest on your frinds at the local strip club for helping you move
