I had an appointment with my doctor on friday for some back pain that I was having. I assumed it was my bones or just my age in general. He ran a few tests on me and told me Monday morning that my pains were a result of cancer; specifically breast cancer.

I know I should have strength through Christ as a Christian, but it has changed my whole outlook on life and I find it more difficult to get up in the morning. My husband and I celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary in a few years and I know that after this I might not make it to see that day. I pray to God that I do, but I don't know His plan for my life. Maybe 50th anniversarys aren't in His plan.

I'm aware this isn't the health section, but I was hoping some of the Christians in here would pray for me and pray that God would grant me the strength to get through this.

Are there any Christian support groups? How do I find out if there are groups in my area?

God Bless you all!

John 3:16

Why are the prayers of Christians only petitioned?
Jesus was a Jew, are the prayers from those of his tribe unworthy?
In your past "Y"posts you have shown a great deal of un Christian hatred towards others.
God/ Yahweh/ the Higher Power has a divine purpose. Perhaps your illness is a sign from God to be loving to ALL those who show devine faith, to show and act with love free of bias and bigotry.
I will pray for your soul to be freed from the hatred in your heart; not all those chosen by God are Christians.

Hi Mrs. Paige,
I'm sorry to hear about what the doctors told you. However, the word of God tell us that by His stripes we are healed. I know that you may be scared and all thoughts maybe negative but you have to believe the report of the Lord. Psalm 91 tell us that no evil shall befall us, neither shall any plague come near our dwelling. Hold on to that. God is not man that He should lie. His promises are true and their for you. God is your refuge in times of trouble. He is your strong tower. When you feel discouraged Praise Him, put some praise music on. Delight yourself in the Lord. There is so much power in praise. Do you go to church? Do they have any prayer groups? Mrs. Paige I'm going to pray that the Lord surround you with people that will encourage you and stand in the gap for you when your feeling down. I pray that the Lord will lift you up and that your life and healing will be a testimony to others. I pray that the Lord give you peace that surpasses all understanding. You are in my prayers. God bless you. Stay encouraged.

Yes I will pray for healing and for Gods will to be done. I know it is hard to believe but God can make something good of this. See my favorite verse Romans 8:28.

I have a terminal illness and never thought my husband and I would see our 25TH anniversary, but we had it last month!
Only God knows the plans he has for you, but miracles still happen!

My Church has set up support groups for illness, grief, and divorce. If your Church does not have any, check with some other Churches. Ask the social worker at the hospital too.

Why do the support groups have to be Christian? Is your religious fervor so much that even in the face of a life-threatening illness you'd turn down the help offered by those not of your faith?

I hope everything works out for you and that you do get to see that 50th wedding anniversary, but in times like this I find it best to reflect on my life and what it means to be human. Christ said to love others, and frankly, from what I've seen of your posts you seem so obsessed with Christ himself that you've elevated yourself above others and out of his message.

Good luck, godspeed and may health find you.

Have you told anyone in your particular church...? Most churches have a prayer line open for any requests to be prayed for... Call a few and get yourself prayed for, sister...! I'll pray, too... Try not to be so concerned with that 50-yr anniversary, though... You've got a WHOLE ETERNITY to look forward to... God's just easing you out...! Let Him have "His will be done on earth as it is in heaven..." You're right where you need to be... You ARE loved... He'll be with you either way it goes... God bless you... =)

Funny.
Now why wouldn't an omnipotent, and omniscient god just cure you? Is he a sadistic bastard or something?
Well since he doesn't actually exist, this is probably the first part in a long line of "drama messages" that will, in all likelyhood, result in a "miraculous cure". Of course, there is no cancer. It's all a put up.
Just like every other charlatan or liar that is trying to herd the sheep into the church.
The point of it all? Why all the Pious Fraud?
To keep the collection plate full. That IS the point of religion after all.
You're a disgusting fraud and I for one hope the cancer is real. And real painful too.

Like YodaGreen, I'm skeptical about your plea, especially considering that you supposedly found out about this on Monday, and just an hour before posting this question, you were asking how often to bathe your poodle.
But it's hard to imagine that even you would 'invent' having cancer so that you could 'engineer' a miraculous cure and tell about it on here.
So--if you're just makin' it all up, you need to know that Karma works in mysterious ways, and you should be very worried about your NEXT doctors visit.

If you ARE really ill; I don't ever pray, but I wish you well.

I just prayed for you. I pray that God will give you some peace and the doctors the wisdom to take care of the problem for you. May God keep you in his mighty hands and Bless you and yours.
I will continue to pray for you.
If you have a prayer group in your church ask to be included on the list.....

Dear Mrs. Paige, It is indeed unfortunate that your doctor has found this disturbing evidence. ......The best advice I know has come from the traditions of the Christians. It is always taught by those accustomed to having their prayers reach the Lord, Jesus - that "All things are possible for the one who believes." .... Thus it is that after laying our burden at the feet of Jesus through our prayer and supplication, one should NOT CLAIM that ailment or even the fear of it. .... God has created us (and every thing good which we will need) in order to reflect His love AND to walk in faith. ... Our confidence is the proof of our faith and serves to glorify God. ....

Please don't try to be "Christian" without reading your Bible. ... It's our only book of instructions. .....First John states, "In the beginning was the Word. ... And the Word became Flesh.........." ... If you accept the awesome authority in the Bible, then all the promises of good health will be revealed to you, and you WILL be inspired to wait at the feet of Jesus - knowing that He already paid the price for your redemption - even if You haven't talked to Him before.......So you see, you pray for yourself telling Christ what YOU can do to make your life whole. ...You can empty the bitterness and anger and replace it with the superfoods which build your body.....Our prayers go with yours and claim this healing; and let your husband pray and believe with you that you will both celebrate your 50th year together.

No one can stand before God for you. ......Stand firm,.... stand strong,.....and by all means DON'T CLAIM ANY WEAKNESS. ....... Live Jesus and claim LOVE...!!!
