I respect the police and the job they have to do. Like any profession there are those who have no business wearing a uniform. I only say this to bring awareness to those members of the police who belive that the same laws they enforce dont apply to them. I read in the paper this morning of a police shooting in Austin, TX by an officer who shot and killed a man. It was found that the killing was avoidable and the force extremely excessive. He was shot in the back while fleeing the scene. He had no weapons and was not threatening the lives of the officers on hand. It was senseless and brutal. The officer has been fired and a civil case is pending. For those who truly protect and serve...I salute you.

What can I say?
I started out on this site a cople weeks ago.Asked some questions just to stire up some sh*t.Answered a lot of questions trying to degrade and piss off cops. Two days ago,I asked a question about cops and their superior attitude.I got two pages of answeres.I read them ,and then I read them again, and again.I walked away from this computer feeling pretty low.But not as low as i feel right now.
Thanks to all...

What a nice thing to say. I'd also like to add my thank you. My father was a fireman for 30 years and my youngest son spent time in Iraq. It does my heart good to know there's someone out there that appreciates all they do. Hats off to our heroes.

Ditto- I can't stand it when some people say - " I hate cops" or say other bad things about them... if they get robbed who are they gonna call? If they are in an automobile accident-who are they gonna call? If they get the crap beat outta them - who are they gonna call??? The police! Unless it's one of those knuckleheads who think that they can take the law into their own hands! Thanks to all of the men and women you mentioned above!
