I am moving out of my apartment that I currently share with my old college roommate and I am moving in with my boyfriend. We are getting a new apartment so it is a blank canvas. I am a very visual person that can get very messy. I would like to keep our home neat and organized. Any ideas?

Do you have an Ikea around? You can get storage systems there for closets that are great. They also have a lot of "decor" that is actually storage, and things are modern. You're young so you might really like the stuff. Check out their website: Ikea-usa.com

It is definitely worth the trip if need be, but I'm pretty sure you can look at the systems online.

Remember that baskets and leather containers are visually appealing and are storage bins. The more space you have to put things the better. Best of luck!

Home Depot for closets and Rubbermade containers for "stuff." There are actually magazines at H-D and the Supermarket about organizing. It doesn't have to be expensive.
If you figure out how to do it - please let me know.
