I was born with Cystic Fibrosis and my parents were told I would not live to be 13. However, at the age of 13, I accepted Christ as my savior all alone in my bedroom. I was not Baptized until I was an adult.
I was told I would not be able to have children after I was married.
We were also warned if I did get pregnant it would advance my illness and I could die during pregnancy or within two years of giving birth. After 4yrs. of marriage I found myself pregnant! There was never any choice for me, I felt so blessed to accept Gods plan! I completely trusted Him to care for my child. Oops, It turned out I was carrying twins, a double blessing! On Jan. 13,1985 I was the first one with CF to give birth to twins and all three survive! My husband and I celebrated our 25TH anniversary last month (7-11) We never dreamed we would see that day!
I am sick, I have had almost 100 hospitalizations and lung infections. Complications of Cystic Fibrosis include lung infections and scar tissue, intestinal problems, asthma, arthritis, sinusitis, and diabetes. But for some reason God still has use for me!

I always knew there was a God, since I can remember...there was no question about it. What I didn't understand was Jesus. I knew He was a good guy and He died on the cross. That was my childhood concept. When I was about 17, I had been a runaway, had a hard childhood, got caught up in drugs and other bad things...I was lost! I believed always in God but I was lost and rebelling and trying to heal from abuses....
I found out I was pregnant. My story is much more cool than this "in a nutshell" version, but basically, I found a church, got truly saved and started to find out who Jesus really was and what that meant for me. I rejoiced....got married and had some more kids and we are a Christian family now. Praise God!

Thankfully, I have a relatively boring testimony. I was raised by Christian parents and at the age of 8 I finally understood that I needed to accept Christ so I did. In my late teens and early 20s I began a time of compromise (music was the big thing, punk rock), but even during that time I never even considered turning my back on God. After a summer missions trip, I realized he wanted more from me, and little by little he began to ask me to put certain habits out of my life. Giving up punk was the hardest, I took a year to finally get the message. The rest of my life has been trying to do beter and better at spending time with him and finding out what he wants from me. My wife and I are making that part of the journey together.

i was brought up a Christian. didn't understand what i was believing until last month, when i learned Romans 5-8 at bible study. it literally changed my outlook on...EVERYTHING. on religion, life, and even relationships.
Jesus died for our sins; past, present AND future. if u accept that, u are dead to sin. u are Justified --> not guilty. that means, no matter what i do, whatever i did, i am no longer subject to punishment, because Jesus took that punishment for me. however that doesnt' mean i can go out and sin all day. u know why?? because once i accepted Jesus, and achieved that peace that comes along with it, i am now under God's Grace. and i accept, appreciate, and REJOICE in it. i no longer need to punish myself for mistakes, and i am fully able to Start Over each time and do the right thing. i can choose the righteous path without any judgement or punishment, because i WANT TO, not because someone tells me to. it actually FREES me from the pain and suffering i felt in my life previously... i am free to rejoice and love God as much as i want, w/o feeling guilty for being imperfect. thru Jesus, God sees us as perfect. i now Choose to do the right thing. and i love it!

When I was six years old I asked my Mom how to become a Christian. She told me that I had to ask Jesus in my heart and all that so I did. At first I
wanted to be a Christian because I wanted to be with my Mom in Heaven. But then latter on I did it again because I really want to know Jesus and not because my Mom was going to Heaven.

Part of me always believed in God, but was raised Catholic... Did their middle and high school... Was taught their theology and doctrines in detail and came to realize that I no longer wanted to be a Catholic...
Spent a few yrs after high school just partying and such, but finally opened my old Bible and started to read the Gospels - Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John... God started to move on my heart and one day, after finishing John's Gospel, I asked myself if I believed...? I concluded I did and started to talk to some people about Jesus and God... God used me to bring in my down-the-hall neighbor and her husband soon became a believer as well..!
Sometime after this, I packed all my belongings - except the clothes on my back and my Bible - into a Goodwill bin and set off for Florida to visit one of my best friends... I hitchhiked from NYC to Jacksonville, FL and then up to a city outside of Pittsburg, PA all the while talking to people about God... My older brother was a deacon in a church and I got baptized soon after I arrived...!
Moved soon after that to Dallas, TX and have done a LOT of backsliding, but am back on the straight and narrow now... Sure, I still "fall short of the glory of God" from time to time, but now it's not on purpose...! Grace to you...! Thank you for the opportunity to share this...! =...)

Here is my view: "I went on a spiritual high for a day and I thought everything was going to be fixed in my life." I don't know what kind of experience you had, but it could be from God as well as from demons. Whatever it was you should often pray to God, go to Church and confess. ------------------- "Since then I had internalized emotional struggles with depression, anger, and guilt. I keep trying to assure myself that these emotions have no place in my life anymore and it's a struggle to suppress them." You have to calm down and lower the speed that your mind evaluates your (and any) situation to avoid errors. You must start from the basics. Forget whatever you have in mind and focus on some basic facts: 1) You are alive and living in a planet full of beauty. All of these are great gifts given by God and perhaps you need to take some time to consider and evaluate them. 2) God does not take these gifts back from you, so He believes that you have more to offer and to achieve. 3) The problems that you have right now are not gonna totally go away in one day. You need to give yourself much more time to solve those than 3-4 days. Just try to relax and ignore your current problems by having faith in God who is always next to you and that will help you out gradually. For any bad actions you may have done you can always find a way to pay back for the problems you created. There are satanic forces trying to claim us all, not only you. You should start praying to God as more often as you can. You should speak to Him as your best friend because He is. You are carrying your own cross which is your problems. You should pray to God to help you bare it and have faith in God and His mercy. God forgives you no matter what you 've done. You just have to become humble and forgive yourself. Pride prevents you from forgiving yourself. We humans cannot do anything right without God - that's why you made so many mistakes: you were on your own. Now you have a chance to make a new start with Him on your side. You won't become a saint in a week. You have to try very hard for that and very insistently. The longest the fight you give for it, the strongest faith and peace you get. Miraculous things don't happen in a day, as you may have read. ------------------- "I sometimes would get small panic attacks and feel frightened. I worry I will never get married and that I would never find a kind and supportive wife. If I get left alone or have nothing to distract me I get paranoid. Intense negative emotions seep into my mind whenever I'm not distracted by anything." If by saying "feel frightened" you you mean so much frightened like you are about to die, then I guess this could be an attack by demons. Generally, the description matches with an attack like this. You cannot know what your your future will be, but whatever that is it will be for the best if you trust God and do His will. Again, you should often pray to God, go to Church and confess. ------------------- " Am I the target of demonic attacks because of my new conversion and possibly my destiny?" Your only destiny is to accept God's help and let Him lead you were He wants. Alone you can do nothing (none of us can). Whatever you achieve would be with the help of God and to take this help you should cast out any pride (or big ideas) you may have about yourself. Also reading the New Testament may help you become more peaceful. ------------------- "Is becoming a Christian really supposed to be this hard?" Yes it is. Christ said: "Take your cross and follow me". That speaks for itself...
