FRIED PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY
SANDWICHES

Fry one or more for lunch or a quick supper for the kids.

Spread bread with peanut butter and jelly, top and dip into French toast batter. Fry in hot grease.

FRENCH TOAST BATTER:

2 beaten eggs with 1 tbsp. flour added
1 c. evaporated milk or Milnot
1 tsp. salt and 1 tsp. sugar

Make batter and dip sandwich into batter quickly. Do not let stand as it makes the bread soggy. Fry in deep fat until golden brown. Drain on paper towel and can be sprinkle with powdered sugar. This is enough batter for 10 pieces of bread.

I'd make them like "Dee" said to do only I think I would stick them in the freezer long enough to freeze before deep frying. It just seems to me that they would hold together better that way. I might also try putting a couple of slices of ripe banana in the sandwich too. Just my thoughts.

Yum, that reminds me of the deep fried twinkies and oreos at the fair. I would totally eat this at the fair if they had it. I love PB and J.

Try making a egg wash & dipping it in there before you fry it, it's very good.

Found this recipe for you. Hope you enjoy it. Please don't eat it too often. It could be too much of a good thing.
