54 million died needelessly thanks to him. I think that pretty much invalidates every positive thing there ever was about him. I remember in HS a few people had this fascination with him who really didn't understand the impact of his actions, and my guess is some day you'll lose your interest in him.

I do agree that it was an awesome and awful time when he was alive. I had to research the holocaust when I was in school, and I do find the subject intriguing. He was oddly polite in small company, enjoyed piano and artwork, and had a spark of an idea to save his people that went horribly in the wrong direction. I don't believe he was entirely evil (doesn't Yin-Yang teach anything - that there is always some sort of good in even the most evil person??) however, I do think he was an atrocity.
However, without atrocities, how do we learn of the heart-wrenching things that can be done, and the importance of love?

Hitler got into power by preying on the desires of the German people after the treaty of Versailles (think thats it) at the end of WW I turned the industrial power Germany into a pipsqueak nation barely able to defend itself. He convinced them that they were meant to be a world power, and as a result they followed him. It got to the point where he could tell them near anything & they'd believe. He was a magnificent orator and could inflame the passion of the most passive German
However he used that skill to push his ideal that Jews and other "inferior races" were responsible for the downfall of Germany and eventually the world. PLease do not say you believe in him and what he stood for. He stood for the subjugation of all non-Aryan races, and for world domination by force and terror. He got into power by mass deception. He was smart, very smart, no doubt there, but in no way to be admired

Hitler is an example of someone who hated himself (because he perceived many failures in himself) which developed into neurosis, depression, and hypochondria. This suffering was channeled into an attempt to bolster his low self esteem by seeking power. Unfortunately, it's extremely easy to manipulate people as long as you know the right buttons to push -- after Wordl War I, the conditions in Germany were so horrible that any small-grade opportunist could manipulate the masses. It always happens that way.

Hitler had qualities that made a great leader.
His ideas were wrong and his way of conducting those ideas were wrong.
If he had put his qualities into focus for a more humane cause per say then he would of made a difference for a positive cause.
He was a passionate patriot, had great oral and public speaking skills, He was a convincing man.

Charlie Manson thinks Hitler was amazing! Now, what does that tell you? I don't think you have studied very much about this evil, twisted man and all the horror that he inflicted. Read some more before you say something so stupid.

i'm Catholic and characteristic in no way encountered as plenty Catholic bashing as I surely have on R&S. such different human beings have such different loopy innovations approximately what Catholicism is and what Catholics do and picture. I additionally in no way stop to be surprised by applying the folk who think of the tale of Noah's flood, Jonah and the whale, Joshusa and solar status nonetheless etc. are actual historic events. those human beings then turn around and say that the final Supper substitute into symbolic. distinctive strokes for various persons, i assume, inspite of the undeniable fact that it in basic terms does no longer compute with me.

You like the fact he hated jews, are you a jew hater? You like the fact that he was an insane dictator who believed he could control the world and bend it to the same beliefs he had? You like the fact that he was willing to do anything to get people to his side? I think that that is crazy.
